In the turbulent wake of the 2020 pandemic, Jeps and Evil-ien embarked on a transformative musical odyssey from their Tilburg home studio. Armed with Kaoss pads, drum machines, and synths, they delved deep into a creative abyss, crafting a dark symphony reflecting the world's turmoil. Teaming up with singer Valerio from The Hague, they produced 87 haunting songs. Debut singles "Love is Gonna Save Us" and "Hope" marked their emergence in early 2021, followed by EPs like "Rainy Days" and "Wild Rose" (2021-2022). Their magnum opus, "Enough" (2022), garnered critical acclaim, setting the stage for darker explorations.
In 2023, Radio Panic and subsequent singles like Fake News and All I Gave captivated global playlists. Tracks such as Plastic Dreams and Bed Karma resonated with dystopian themes, leading to the release of their debut album "Memento" in 2024. The album was remixed in 2025, featuring reinterpretations by artists like The Last Element and Alphamay.
Rooted in 80s synthpop, darkwave, and post-punk, DARKER draws inspiration from legends like Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails. With live drummer Jurgen joining them onstage, their performances blend mesmerizing visuals and poignant lyrics, captivating audiences since their sold-out debut in 2023.
DARKER's journey continued with tours across The Netherlands and headlining Wave Invasion Fest in Germany. Beyond a band, they are architects of future classics, crafting a sonic landscape fit for post-apocalyptic tales.
