i want to write more, but i’m so head empty rn. a family member dies, i get sick, multiple people in my life are severely depressed to a distressing degree. i’m so. idk. i have muse and so much energy for plotting but. ugh! and to have sb in the rpc who gives me panic attacks show up in my sphere again is like? the cherry on top and for why?? i don’t need more things to stress over, babe, i have adhd 😭🥺🙃 i’m managing things well and had a wonderful day today, but it’s so, so frustrating to have my creativity and focus so completely shot. i want to feel productive and creative again

I wish I could tell you the story of this photograph.   I don’t know who took it,   where we were,   or why we’re laughing.   But isn’t life filled with that?   Misrememberings and lost memories?   I’m lucky this snapshot of my life with Alan,   the love and the joy we shared,   was captured at all.

He didn’t like being photographed.   Every picture of him I have,   I cherish.   Thank God I never listened to his complaining,   thank God I forced him into frame every chance I had.   No one admits the forgetting that comes after grief.   Features get blurry,   the edges fade,   until the face leaves entirely.

This is how I choose to remember Alan.
