Don Callis Family is actually not too big
i don't care man, i think pac's new looks is great ;_;
why was hangman wrapping the chain around his own neck tho
Kris x Yuta
Since I started watching AEW (and wrestling in general), I am not particularly interested in onscreen romances (except for whatever Hangman/Swerve have going on). But Kris and Yuta have such good chemistry in the latest storyline, I really wouldn't mind it. I enjoy the way gollum Yuta pushes his hair away from his eyes when he talks to Kris. Cute.
Anarchy In the Arena 2025
So good. So so good.
The inclusion of Marina and Willow the cherry on top. AEW usually avoids intergender wrestling so I was pleasantly surprised that everyone was mixing it up with each other.
I'm just sad Eddie didn't make his return, I think that would've made this legendary.
But I liked Hook returning (briefly), kinda surprised Gabe didn't play a bigger role, very surprised that Mark showed up (also he looked deranged as fuck with the dried blood all over his face).
I liked the switchup of music this year. I had the volume turned up on my laptop so high and didn't realize it, I think I kinda fucked up my hearing lol...
I know people say they should not use Anarchy in the Arena so often, but I love that it's a yearly tradition. Like once in a year is not that often.
Catching up on last week's Dynamite
I don't like how the tag team belt felt like less than nothing. Like I have not been interested in that belt since The Gunns held it. Private Party was supposed to be a turnaround but it was more of the same. Then losing it on tv? Tch.
And I also don't like ex-WWE just showing up and quickly winning belts. That being said, they're probably necessary to lift up the sagging division right now. I do really enjoy Hurt Syndicate so far and look forward to their run and maybe some big storylines in the division.
If I'm gonna be honest, while PP weren't given good storylines, I don't find them very charismatic either and Zay gets on my nerves. I think the future of the tag division is: Private Party, Top Flight, and Action Andretti/Lio Rush. And of those three tags, only Andretti/Rush's promos are interesting to me.
The BCC/Elite segment tonight was too funny
"We're going to fine you for swearing"
vs.
"We're going to slice your ears off for only winning against unsigned local talent"
Can't stop thinking about Swerve/Hangman's match last night
I thought it was an interesting critique of wrestling fans. Everyone was eager to see them outdo their previous bouts - more! more! more! But when they finally did more, it was too much. Not only Hangman, but the audience left realizing things have gone too far. I think this is the first time "this is cinema" actually makes sense in the wrestling I've watched.
No one is going to make me hate this match. Swerve/Hangman/whoever was involved with it absolutely knew how people were going to react. This match wasn't a glorification of violence, it was a condemnation of it.
AEW All Out 2024
The main event made me massively uncomfortable and I think…I kinda loved that? I really enjoy when they have fights where weapons are allowed, but I've never been into "real" fighting. I'm totally okay not ever watching that match again or seeing any of those spots again. But everything made so much sense for their storyline.
Hangman looked so fucked up at the end of the match. I loved the audience shriek when it looked like he was gonna go back into the ring. He finally won, just had to sacrifice every moral fibre in his being. How are you gonna joke around and do musicals with the Dark Order boys after sticking a syringe into someone's face? Why did you do that to yourself, Hangman?
How is Swerve gonna feel after this, knowing he drove that man insane? Even as he became a face, with the crowd cheering him, with the biggest title in AEW - he couldn't stop himself from antagonizing Hangman. This was what he wanted, right, to push Hangman to be his "best"?
Will either men step back and see that it's gone too far?
Also it was pretty funny that Hangman looked like Juice Robinson with the crazy hair lol.
Shit ass crowd. I don't care if they didn't realize it was Toni or Mariah at first, how do you have ZERO reaction to her after the ending of last week's Dynamite? And then pull WHAT chants? Any other crowd, that promo would've been fine.
I hope AEW will avoid this hick town in the future. I'm actually disgusted.
AEW All In 2023
The joshis don't mean anything to TK, huh?
Take their titles, take their gimmicks...take everything.
AEW Full Gear 2022
Between Eddie having his dream match with Akiyama and Death Triangle retaining in that banger of a match, this PPV day is already 10/10 for me. As a pretty pessimistic person, I’m so glad I was wrong and I’m so happy for Death Triangle ;_;
They’re gonna make Death Triangle lose the trios belt and I’m not fucking here for it. Treating them like placeholders for The Elite, I hate it >:(
I hope I’m wrong.
I still think the elite aren’t winning, and will have to try and find their spots in the company they helped create.
rey using the hammer to retain feels likely.
Sorry, I think I replied to myself originally lol...
Anyways, I love this idea! Everyone thinking Pac is just being a little goblin and he actually sways Rey to the dark side, let’s go.
Me: The AEW roster is so bloated. No more signings until you actually get a ROH tv deal!
Me, immediately after Bandido and AR Fox sign: ...Well, one more won’t hurt. But no more!
They’re gonna make Death Triangle lose the trios belt and I’m not fucking here for it. Treating them like placeholders for The Elite, I hate it >:(
