RIP baby boy

CW for the text; pet death. My doberman passed away 2 weeks ago. It was very sudden, I knew he was getting old but I wasn't ready. I suppose you never are. So if I've been distant, that's why.  Baby boy, you were dumb and soft and the biggest tragedy of your life was to not be small enough to fit in my pocket.  You'd follow me everywhere, trying your best to please and you'd often look like an idiot in the process, forgetting how to dog altogether.  You were a terrible guardian, a terrible herding dog and a terrible sled dog, but you were the best dog regardless, loving and patient and always just so happy to be there. I'll never know why you'd try to bury the geckos, but protected the baby chicks or why you'd run away from flies, but were fine running after the rooster with me, but I know I'll miss it. It hurts so much and I wish I had more time with you. Rest in peace now, you deserved it.
