Percy found a light in Miss Daaé, one he didn’t expect to see in Darkmoor. Now that he had found it, he wouldn’t let anything happen to her.

I have returned from my trip to Epic bearing Darkmoor lore trivia

If this seems like a long list, know that interacting with the characters is my favorite thing to do. Also I usually think of questions beforehand because that’s normal 👍

Needless to say, I don’t think all of this is canon, per se, but it’s really neat regardless. I'll definitely be incorporating some of it into my fanfics

MULTIPLE characters called into question Victoria’s status as a legitimate Frankenstein!! Griffin said the rumor around Darkmoor is that her return was incredibly suspicious, and he doesn’t believe she’s a real Frankenstein. The Bride also doesn’t believe she’s really a Frankenstein, said that the Manor was abandoned for years, and told me to check the family tree (which, unfortunately, I didn’t get to do). Very interesting!

I asked Ygor about the rumors and he flatly denied them, said that his family’s been taking care of the Frankensteins for generations, the Manor was deserted because Victoria was off at college, and she has the Frankenstein fortune backing her up. He also said that he had the Manor to himself while she was away and spent a lot of that time running around in just his apron.

Multiple characters also said that Larry Talbot is apparently a great dude when not under the full moon! I asked Ygor what he does when they’re not containing him, and he said that Larry helps out around the Manor with mundane tasks like feeding the Gilman and helping Ygor drive his cart. He also said that Larry plays the recorder and him and Erik are in a band.

(This one was the most shocking to me), Griffin said that not only does he know Larry, he considers him a friend! He said he’s a perfectly nice gentleman, so long as you don’t get on his bad side. I’m still wrapping my head around Griffin admitting he has friends, tbh.

Grffin regularly sneaks into Frankenstein Manor. Ygor said he likes to go into his room and stare at him while he sleeps, which Griffin corroborated.

Darkmoor has an offbrand 7/11 and Victoria will send Ygor out to it at ungodly hours "for bread and milk and eggs because she decided she wants to have french toast for breakfast." Victoria does not share her french toast. (this is probably my favorite thing Ygor told me, it's so silly).

Quasimodo and Ygor are distantly related. Ygor didn't inherit the hunchback, but his ancestor Fritz did

Victoria sought out Erik because they thought he was a monster of the same caliber as the others. When he turned out to be much less hostile than expected, she offered him the chance to accompany her back to the Manor as an ally rather than an enemy. Quasi opted to tag along

In-universe, the Bride is apparently the one who lays flowers at the little girl's grave. That's where she met Victoria's Creature

One of the Hounds (the Exterminator) said that the Burning Blade tavern is *technically* a neutral entity and not affiliated with the Hounds in any formally official capacity despite the trophies. He had mad beef with the bartenders, though, so idk if I believe him

Griffin told me that he was around during the old vampire wars, and the human shaped blood stain by the bathrooms happened when he was watching a battle and they nearly caught him

I got the names of four Hounds! Gregor the Guardian, the Exterminator, Artemis Blaze, and Ida Hunter. The bartender I was chatting with said that there's a lot of them apparently

Backstory: One early morning in June, 2018, a few members of the Guild of Mystics found an unconscious young woman off the shore of Bogtown. Her wrists and ankles were bound together and the ends of her dress were burned. When she woke up, she only knew one thing about herself; her name.

Hadlee.

No one in Bogtown knew who she was, and no one opened their doors for her. The Mystics took Hadlee in, teaching her their ways and giving her a family. As grateful as Hadlee was to have a home, the mystery of who she was and where she came from was always in the back of her mind. It didn’t help that every time she slept, she had the same dream of herself and three women being burned alive.

Two years after she was found, the Mystics moved to Darkmoor, and Hadlee with them. She would help with making jewelry to sell as well as do tarot readings and fortune telling, the latter which she had a natural ability to do. Whenever Hadlee made physical contact with someone, she was able to see glimpses of their future.

During one session with a young man named Marc, Hadlee saw in the near future he would be bitten by a werewolf and turned into one. She tried to warn him, but Marc did not believe her, thinking everything about the Mystics was just a bunch of superstitious bull.

A few days later, an older Meg Giry came with her husband, Benjamin Fletcher, to see the wolf-seer and determine if the bite Marc received was from a werewolf. And just like Hadlee predicted, the Maleva confirmed it was and that he had the curse of the werewolf.

Hadlee knew how the rest of the story would go. One of the Mystics would have also been eavesdropping on the meeting and would tell the Hounds, who would hunt Marc down, and take him to Victoria Frankenstein for her to conduct her experiment on. She had seen it play out countless times before, even before they moved to Darkmoor. It was despicable, but there wasn’t ever anything she could do.

Or was there?

Using her seeing capabilities, Hadlee was able to find Marc before the Hounds did with the help of his younger brother, Justin. She gave him a headstart, letting him escape to the woods through the Catacombs minutes before the hunters came.

Hadlee figured that would be the last time she saw him. What went on in the forest was none of her business. She went back to the Mystics, living her life the same way she did before. Only, she couldn’t help but feel as if the Catacombs held secrets that explained who she was.

When Marc came to visit her and said he would do anything in order to repay her for saving his life, she knew what to ask for.

And so, they began to explore the Catacombs.
