Sirius had you cornered during one of the Order’s meetings, shamelessly flirting with you and although you were fond of the man, his advances were making you a bit uncomfortable considering your husband was sitting right across the room.
You glanced at Severus, meeting his burning gaze that was already on you. He was doing his best to remain calm and although to everyone else he seemed like his usual collected self, you knew how to see past through his cold exterior. His body was more tense than normal and his mouth formed a thin line - his eyebrows furrowed as he continued watching you.
You couldn’t help but smile a little to yourself. Who knew that the Severus Snape could ever let emotions get the better out of him?
Another set of giggles erupted from your mouth at Sirius’ jokes and you didn’t miss the death glare your husband sent the poor man, a warning to what was to come if you didn’t take action soon.
“Care to join me outside for a walk, love?” Black’s voice brought you back to reality and you bit your lip to stiffle a laugh as you spotted the way Severus’ onyx orbs widened in shock. Someone must have been listening to your conversation…
Clearing your voice, you turned back at the man next to you and smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry, but I’m afraid I’m already taken.” you whispered softly and his face fell.
He sighed and a sad smile tugged at his lips. “Of course you are. Every beautiful girl is.” his compliment made you blush but your polite smile remained. “And may I ask which lucky man gets to call you his?”
“My husband is sitting over there actually.” you pointed to Severus discreetly with a smile.
His mouth dropped at your statement and if he were a cartoon, his eyes would have popped out. “S-Snape? Snape is your husband?” he whisper-shouted and you struggled to keep yourself from laughing as you nodded in affirmation.
“Merlin’s beard! You are married to Snivellus?” he exclaimed again, this time loudly enough for the whole room to hear and everything silently went silent as they all turned to look at you with shock written all over their features.
Not knowing what to do, your eyes immediately searched for Severus. For the first time in forever, you couldn’t read the expression on his face. Was he angry at you for revealing your marriage?
You had never really agreed to keep it a secret, although you tried to be as discreet about your relationship as possible. You were the only person in this world he cared about and that made you a major weakness that he wasn’t so willing to expose to others. All he wanted was to keep you safe.
Now the cat was out of the bag and with everyone’s eyes switching back and forth between the two of you, all you could do was stare and wait for him to say something.
After some rather long moments of silence, Severus finally reacted but certainly not in a way you expected him to. He scoffed loudly before he put his newspaper down and folded it gracefully.
“I see you still can’t keep your mouth under control, Black. Not that I’m surprised, of course.” you could only watch with a small smile as he stood up and cleared his voice. “Are you all done with being overdramatic yet? There’s still a war to consider if you haven’t realized.”
Everyone cleared their throats awkwardly and went back to what they were doing, the silence that previously filled the room now replaced with a familiar chattering that left you smiling to yourself.
When the room mostly cleared out and you were left alone with your husband momentarily, you couldn’t help yourself. Skipping over to where he sat, you leaned against his armchair and pecked his cheek, surprising him. He didn’t really shift his attention from the newspaper page but you didn’t miss the smirk that tugged at his lips.
Yes, he was a man with many flaws. Yes, there were so many differences between you that it seemed almost impossible that you would be together. You were young and you were full of life, a ray of sunshine that infected everyone with your bubbliness - the exact opposite of him. But it was moments like this that you were sure. You belonged together.
Requested by anonymous: YEEEEEES the snape one was so cuuuute!!! Could you maybe do the order finding out they’re married please? Xxxx
(A/N: I know you requested headcanons but honestly it came more naturally to me as an imagine so here it is! I hope you don’t mind. I love doing these. Lots of love and kisses to all of you!)
“Well, l wasn’t completely oblivious.”
“Surely you were aware of the rumors that went around?”
“Oh?”
“Rumors?” He arched a brow curious to know the rumors that surrounded him.
“By whom, pray tell?” He paused, not sure if he just used whom correctly. He really was a bit out of it. “I mean, I’m not saying I’m a worse man, only I know you haven’t heard those comments from me.”
“I’m well aware of the fact I’ve not heard the comment from you and yet it remains that I have heard the comment.” He muttered as he continued to look around and the students in the hall.

Severus heard her and relaxed, his fist opening to drop the now crushed ingredient to the floor, his posture returned to it’s normal rigidness rather than the defensive one he’d had.
When she returned and held it out he took it, adding the bit to the tray he had in his other hand full of various ingredients. His head shook stiffly. “It’s not something people generally ask.”
She grinned. 'I’m not most people. I wonder why not, though. I’m dying of curiosity, no pun intended.’ She stayed where she was and paused to consider her own question, head tilted to the side.
'Are most people afraid of you, once they find out?’ She enquired softly. 'I, myself, am not. Do they treat you as some manner of pariah? To be reviled and feared and kept at arms’ length?’ She moved slightly closer, as if to prove her point. 'I’m guessing you’re still as much a man as you ever were, with feelings just the same as everyone else.’ She kept her tone low and gentle.
“I’d imagine out of respect they choose not to ask.” His voice was it’s normal tone though with a discernible edge to it as he continued to peruse the various ingredients in the shop.
“Most people don’t know.” It wasn’t something he actively spoke about. His posture was stiffening at all the questions, questions that he did not have any inclination to answer and yet that continued to be asked of him. “Why is it that you are so interested in a fact that does not concern you directly?”
Conti.
HIs body language had significantly changed in just the short time they sat with each other, his usual rigidness replaced with what could be considered a relaxed posture. In place of his usual stoic look there was a softness to his features as he relished in whatever time he would have with her. His own mind lingering on their pasts as he now thought of all those times when even the smallest of gestures on her behalf had made his young days bearable. “Child or not.. I don’t make an excuse for it other than stupidity.. lack of.. judgement.” He’d naturally had a significant amount of time to think on it.
For some time his eyes lingered on her hand touching his arm, the same arm on which was a mark that could never be removed. The arm that contrasted so much with the love that he held for her even now. It was odd the comfort he took in the simple touch, considering most would not do so much as to offer comfort to him.
His lip quirked up in a small smile for but a moment when she replied so what, he’d forgotten that she usually saw the best in situations. “Vested in dark arts is hardly something Dumbledore finds comforting… hardly something that would enlist a high amount of trust.” At least he believed the elder wizard still did not trust him entirely, his own argument being that he was not trusted to hold the Defense against the Dark Arts position. “Most people fear the Dark Arts and everything around them. They are under the impression when attacked it will be something so trivial as a Jelly-Legs jinx… a folly of their own to assume people are above using the Cruciatus. Inability to prepare themselves and come to the realization that Dark Arts are sometimes needed is what lead to death.” He spoke freely about his own views on it.
She just watched him and gave a small little shrug of her shoulders "Ah, Sev.” she said peering into her cup. “We were young and foolish,we said things we didn’t mean and we did things that…well.” she sobered a little the cup returning to the table. “War…it makes monsters out of us all.” she said in a whisper. The things you saw, when you were avoiding both the Ministry and the Death Eaters. It had been a rough time. Stupidity is not something I would ever a test to you, you always seemed knowledgeable of your surroundings.“ on the other foot he did know his own mind. "I won’t judge, not after all of this time. ”
Lily knew the mark was there, and it did not scare her, intimidate her or even mildly bring a discomfort to her features. It was just a part of him as he was. She was soft, she always had been it had been something that Lily could not help but be. The fire in her was what drove her. She left her fingers there for the moment as he did not tense or pull away from her.
Bright green eyes held the same fire that the war had not put out even though it had tried. “Dumbledore…is…” Lily began her eyes going half lidded. “Not near as welcome to the level of righteousness that he wants other to bear witness to.” her tone soft. “He has his own failings, and he is…” red curls danced around her shoulders “Ah, Sev..” she looked up at him shrugging her shoulders. “Have you ever noticed there is something off about him, I mean he is powerful, he is brilliant but there is a hidden darkness to him, we all have darkness mind you.” she listened quietly and nodded. “I feel very similar especially after dealing with what I have.” she admitted.“Most of us, had no idea what was going on.” her tone soft. “I don’t understand why it should be such a taboo subject, it is needed and share that opinion with you.” she raised her free hand and waggled a finger at him. “I still don’t approve of the use of them for pranks and games.”

At the childhood nickname of his, one he had not heard in the years that had passed between them he looked at her, his features softening ever so slightly more. His stoic expression replaced with a delicate and worn expression of one who'd been through so much even at such a young age. "Youth isn't an excuse for what I've done, what I've said, I seek no excuse for it, merely forgiveness." He listened to her continue as she so eloquently stated that war makes monsters of everyone, a truth he would not deny. "Stupidity is what it was, Lily, whether knowledgeable of my surrounds or not I made grave mistakes that are now shrouded in regret."
His eyes flittered down to her hand so gently resting on his arm, only inches from the mark that in essence begged for her death. For a moment he closed his eyes, took a deep breath and sighed.
"Regardless of what he is welcome, he is... a monument of sorts for those who seek protection and safety." He wasn't the biggest fan of the man whom he'd feared would kill him when he had ran to him in fear of Lily's life but he did respect him. Listening to her speak he remained quiet for some time after she finished, choosing his words. "Everyone has dark qualities whether they choose to admit to them or not, Dumbledore included. It's as he would say.. dependent on whether you act upon the darkness that defines you." His expression momentarily hardened, remembering conversations with the headmaster that he'd held, conversations of his own 'path into darkness'. "It is taboo because people have made it such, respect for the Dark Arts is and likely will continue to be frowned upon, as are the skills that come along with it, for that reason alone he holds no trust in my teaching Defense. A folly of his own." He looked at her finger as it waggled so like what a mother would do to a child. "I'm well aware."
“That’s fair.” He had to agree, but maybe it was just some sort of payback.
“I’d imagine it to be.” Though he never was fair about discussing Lupins own ‘condition’ in the open before, recalling when he’d even gone so far as to blatantly inform his students.
“‘Course, on the other hand…” Well, exactly that: how many times had he tried to 'out’ Remus?
“You did just that to me.”
Severus heard the on the other hand comment and he knew the point he’d just been thinking of was going to come into the conversation, much to his annoyance. “And yet I’ve been frequently reminded you are a better man than myself.” His voice was tense and full of loathing at the comment.
“Yeah, but you gave me clues on Remus.”
“And vampires don’t follow a schedule such as werewolves.”
“That I did.”
“Be that as it may, I find myself surprised that you had no..idea.”
// Right, I know I disappeared after my trip to HP World Orlando, for that I apologize. Been helping my mom plan her wedding and getting my suit for it and what not. IN any case I am back and will be replying to old threads and am definitely down for new ones either here or on my other Snape blogs.
PSA: From Feb 20-29 activity will be very scarce as I will be in Florida on my bday trip to the Wizarding World of HP
Only a few more day and I will be back

“Yes, of course l should have already known my professor was a vampire. How stupid of me.”
The corner of his mouth quirked up in a grin.
“Arguably you had no problem discovering Lupin’s little secret, I thought my own would come to you.”
“No.”
“Are you going to incessantly continue or is there an end in sight to this tirade?”
Hᴇʀᴍɪᴏɴᴇ ʜᴇʟᴅ ᴀ ʜᴀɴᴅ ᴏᴠᴇʀ ʜᴇʀ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ,
“Don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me, sir.”
He nodded and looked at her.

“Oh my gods.” Sʜᴇ sʜᴏᴏᴋ ʜᴇʀ ʜᴇᴀᴅ, ᴀ ʙᴇᴍᴜsᴇᴅ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ᴏɴ ʜᴇʀ ғᴀᴄᴇ, “I never believed the rumors…”
“Does anyone else knows?”
“Naturally, most assume they have no truth.” Which was a relief of course.
‘Dumbledore did. Minerva and Poppy. Very few, naturally not something I’d prefer most to know.”
