Guess what's back in Barnes & Noble!

I know it's a very short pre-order period, and the book releases October 1st, but I recently released my book "Dark Pine Tales of Terror" on IngramSpark alongside the already existing KDP release. It's now back on Barnes & Noble's site for pre-order/order if you would prefer not to use Amazon. If you like urban legends, ghosts, monsters, and more, then maybe give Dark Pine a visit. You never know what you'll find.

Dark Pine Update: Hardcover on the Way

While there hasn't been much on the sales front, I will be releasing a hardcover edition of "Dark Pine: Tales of Terror" in 2024.

It will be illustrated and have three additional stories that didn't make the cut in the paperback and ebook. The three stories were mostly cut due to not fitting the vibe or theme of the other stories or just not working in general and were scrapped before they really got started.

While I don't know exactly when it will be released next year it will more than likely be either late January or sometime in February. March would be the latest. It really depends on how long it takes me to finish up the three additional stories and get the illustrations done. I'm an indie author who is essentially a one woman show. I do everything myself from the editing and formatting down to the cover art and illustrations. I'm aiming to release it with KDP as well so it's still alongside the paperback and ebook listing on Amazon, but that could change. Part of me is tempted to try B&N Press, but I might try that with one of my next books instead.

Either way, I'm excited to put this together.It took some time to convince myself it was worth it to make a hardcover edition. I didn't want it to feel like it's just a collectable. I want it to feel just as worth reading as the original paperback. It's not a long book to begin with since it's a collection of short stories, but I think it has potential and this could get it to a wider audience. I write because I enjoy telling stories and sharing them. If this ends up being a way to get those stories to more people that may like them, then I know it's worth it in the end.

My book "Dark Pine: Tales of Terror" is officially released on Amazon!

If you like scary stories and urban legends, you might just like this one. It's a collection of six short stories focused around the legends of a little town called Dark Pine. The vibes are like a mix of "Twilight Zone" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?".

I'd really appreciate it if you checked it out. It even has little illustrations at the start of each story(like the one in the photo) that I drew.

I realize that for a profile called Dark Pine Daily, I don’t post daily. It’s a side blog for my book releasing this Fall. It was supposed to be like a local newspaper title.

Can anyone hear me?

Strolling through the forest between the Dark Pine and the old town you stumble upon a note and a dead abandoned flashlight. You recognize the handwriting, it's from one of your classmates that you haven't seen in a few days. You just figured they were sick, but reading this you know where they went. Torn between heading back to town and rushing to the rescue, you pocket the note and rush through the woods to the old town.

The old tower looms over the remaining buildings, your friends backpack lays open on the ground by its entrance. The top of the staircase pokes out from behind the highest remaining wall of the tower. You're not about to let your friend become another poster to line the walls of the Dark Pine Police Department.

The staircase has claimed many visitors and scared away more than you can imagine. That hasn't stopped brave souls from venturing to them throughout the years to see if the tales are true. Whether their first supposed victim haunts them is still unknown, but one thing's for sure, they're infamy is more than enough to lure in the curious.

The Door to Nowhere

Sometimes a door is just a door, even when they lead to a drop. Other times, though, who knows where they go.

Hidden at the edge of Dark Pine, this door has claimed many curious adventurers. You'd think the missing flyers that line the brick far below it would be enough to ward off brave souls, but the siren song of curiosity is stronger.
