Anime idea: Magical Girl Anime, but it's set in Edinburgh and all the girls swear like sailors.

The main characters know all the Anime Girl Tropes and are trying to figure out what Magical Girl Anime they're in. One thinks Sailor Moon, another thinks Card Captors, yet another, less optimistic one thinks it's Madoka.

Lots of Anime tropes (School drama, themed villains, plenty of Sakura Trees in Scotland), but lots more Modern Scotland References. The girls eat lunch at what is obviously a Greggs, drink Irn Bru, mention well known landmarks, National Rail Logos at the Stations.

They remark on their "Magical Girl Uniforms" like "JINGS THESE SKIRTS ARE SO SHORT YOU CAN SEE MY LUNCH, CAN YE GIES US LEGGINGS AT THE VERY LEAST?"

Because Edinburgh and Glasgow are so close together, they have to deal with their monsters too. When this first happens, one of them goes "GLASGOW? HOW THE FUCK WE MEANT TAE GET THERE, GET ON THE TRAIN IN THESE? GET THE 900? IN THESE UNIFORMS" (they fly in some way).

At least once, I want a couple of Junkies to watch a magical battle, being the only witnesses, look at each other, look at the bottles they are holding, and decide to get clean.

And there is an episode where they meet an australian counterpart team, and after the weird culture shock, realise they get on extremely well, ending the episode fighting a posh english villain
