he knew of the unrelenting hatred she harboured, he empathised -- a lack of home, sense of belonging lost: it had only been the beginning of his journey. he eyed the archmage carefully, knowing better than to push her further from the edge that she seemed to be slipping from. ❝ garrosh will pay for his crimes, dey all will. ❞ the horde had saved him from death, but it had certainly made his people PAY for the luxury. if thrall would not put an end to this madness, he would see to it that the former warchief would witness the end of his successor.

never again would the likes of such a despicable creature be allowed to escape the hands of the horde. not only an ally of the TRAITOROUS hellscream, but pure evil incarnate, vol’jin would be the first to voice his disgust towards such a being. had history taught them naught? blinded by the iron horde threat, the warlock had been allowed to poison the minds of thousands, twisting the fel into otherwise redeemable minds -- perhaps they could still be saved, but it was certain that HE could not.
bow and spear strapped to his back, the shadow hunter continued across the remains of tanaan jungle -- trees had turned to ash, the broken husks of corpses adorning the paths like those of the draenei had those years ago. a terrible turn of events that had simply been allowed by IGNORANCE. orcs would never change. anger in every footstep, the breaking of branches underfoot weren’t enough to pull him from the murderous intent that brewed within him. his trackers had aided him thus far, though it was quite clear that the wide berth they had given their warchief was not unwarranted from his behaviour.
he would not return to camp empty handed: gul’dan’s head would be at the centre of their pyre tonight.

the enemy that had evaded him for too long was now within reach and yet his limbs were too filled with rage to reach for his bow. what would separate him from hellscream if he were to give in to such primal urges? vol’jin had known better than to charge in and succumb to whatever foul traps the demon-king had hidden beneath his sleeve, though any planned encounter was slipping from his mind by the second.
he did not want to grant this being a quick, merciless death, he wished to make him suffer as his people had suffered ( as HE had suffered ) at the hands of orcish kind.

i’m actually really sad after listening to vol’jin’s death cinematic for the umpteenth time please snuggle me I miss my boy so much & I swear to god if they bring in back in battle for azeroth for ONE FUCKING QUESTLINE that’s like “haha i’m havin a peaceful afterlife mon thanks for destroyin da legion” i’m going to storm blizzard hq and scream.
