Custom Made Hunter's Binder

At some point in monsterheart, Varka commissions gemma to make azoth some binders. Azoth usually binds with bandages and is very self conscious about his chest as he does have large breasts.

In come these binders. They're made to be super comfy and flexible and discreet, so azoth can go shirtless if he wants like everyone else. A detail is that the marking on the binder is wrong, because Gemma doesn't know what his chest looks like. Varka -does- but isn't gonna give up those details. Also confirming that Azoth's markings are actually scales.

Big confidence booster for the guy.

Gemma had a hunch about Azoth being trans but now she knows for sure, even if Varka insisted they were just a fashion thing for Azoth lo, (azoth isn't out to anyone but a very select few)

Before this he's telling Azoth to eat because he knows his son goes on hunger strikes when he's upset. And Azoth as we will learn goes "I'm not hungry" when ppl tell him to eat. So his father responds with "I didn't ask" which is something HIS father would also say to Azoth.

and ironically, Azoth's father would go on hunger strikes too when -he- was upset with -his- father so, he knows his son and he knows this song and dance, and he sees that Azoth gets it from him. And he knows that Azoth hates how easily his father reads him.
