After helping out that librarian a week ago, Chris was truthfully wondering how the other was doing. Plus the man had even led him to some of the best burgers and Sammy knew because he had a taste for them that night. It wasn’t just that.. there was something else; A shift within Chris whenever he thought of Eddie, but he wasn’t the only one that had felt it. Sammy had felt something too.
So when Chris had suggested inviting Eddie over for dinner, he was glad that Sammy was up for it. “You think he’ll like my burgers?” Chris had called from their backyard. Alright, so he wasn’t the best cook, and ordering take out or pizza just seemed.. well lame. The least he could do was impress the other by grilling some burgers.
“Let me know when he is here so I can start grilling. I want them fresh and hot when he gets here.” who wanted dried up burgers, right? – @darkxr-darkxr @eddiethereader

Tossing the last of his laundry in the washer, Sammy scooted out into the kitchen and washed his hands. A bit of blood from some of his clothing came off and scraped under his finger nails as well before heading out to the back deck. Leaning against the railing, he smiled as Chris as he started up about the burgers. As if there was anything to be worried about. Sammy was pretty sure they could feed Eddie day old take-out pizza and he’d be happy about it. Or at the very least he wouldn’t say anything bad about said pizza. Home cooked burgers made by Chris, on the other hand, were perfect. Literally perfect.
“Hub, hun, love of life,” Sammy started before standing behind Chris and rubbing his shoulders for him. “Relax. In all the time we’ve been together you’ve literally never served me a dry burger. You’ve never served me a burger that was anything less than perfection on a plater.” He promised before kissing Chris’s cheek.
From inside Sammy heard a knock at the door. “Might wanna throw those on now Chef Ramsey, think the guest of honour is here.” He teased before bouncing off to answer the door. He walked quickly to the front and threw open the door for Eddie. “Be our Guest! Put our service to the test, Tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie. And we provide the rest!” Sammy sang in a horrible french accent as a greeting to Eddie, his one hand holding the door open for the man.
