So I had to quit my last job because the stress of it was killing me and also starting to kill my relationship, and I decided it was time to draw a line. I needed a new job stat because capitalism, and I decided to do a little magic to help that process along. I did this on Sunday and set it with the intention of getting a job within the coming seven days. I got a job last night. I deemed this worth sharing. (I did not have my phone at the time of this spell, and was unable to take photos to share the set up, but I will do my best to describe it).
Incense cone (Scent is dealer’s choice so long as it’s intended for good luck/money/prosperity)
2 Fire-proof bowl/surfaces
Arrange your items so that your quartz point is in the center with the point facing you, and set a candle on each side of it (I did green on the left, white on the right).
Take one of your fire-proof surfaces and place the incense cone in the center, and sprinkle cinnamon powder, thyme, and bay leaves in a circle around the incense. *NOTE: BE VERY CAREFUL WITH CINNAMON AROUND FIRE BECAUSE HOLY SHIT IT GETS HOT. In fact, try your best to make the cinnamon mixture an outer ring to the incense cone but not touching it just for safety. Your skin matters and also so does whatever surface you’re using (learned the hard way when I was scraping it off my bowl).
Set the incense bowl on one side of the setup. I put it on the right, with my white candle. Set your other bowl on the left side with the green candle; you’ll use this bowl for when you’re burning paper.
Ground yourself, and make sure your quartz has been cleansed. I prefer incense for this, but there are other ways. Using incense, though, you can just go ahead and light the incense you have for this spell and it works fine. Like catching-and-releasing two birds with one stone.
Once the incense is lit, light your white candle, and then your green. I like to light the green off of the white, but that’s just preference.
Think about your intentions, focus on what you need and what you want in a job. Write it down on pieces of paper, read them aloud (preference), and burn them. Do this with each one. I specified that I needed a job within the coming week, that I needed a job that would suit my schedule, and that would not ask me to sacrifice my mental health and my relationship for the sake of money.
Meditate for a moment and visualize what success looks like to you. Imagine yourself paying your bills on time and having a bit leftover for savings, or for fun, etc. Imagine sleeping easy at night because you have no financial stress. Imagine yourself having a job you like, or at least don’t hate, and feeling the quality of your life improve.
Create a sigil for your purpose if you like. Burn that too. (If you do not know how to make a sigil, it’s really easy! Condense your intention into a short phrase, then take out the vowels and repeated letters. Use the letters you’ve got left to create an image to stand for your intention. Charge it, and then destroy it to activate it.)
Let your candles burn down and let the incense burn itself out.
