My sister offered me left overs so I went over today to pick them up.

My sister wasn’t home but she said her husband would get them ready.

When I got there her husband didn’t say a single word to me and neither did my nine year old nephew.

I saw the Tupperware on the counter and said ‘oh is this it?’ And my brother in law went ‘yeah. Your stealing my birthday dinner’

My flabbers were sort of gasted. I said that I had been offered these left overs. He didn’t respond.

I lent down to kiss my nephew and he threw his blanket over his head and hid (which he never does). I went ‘okay. I love you’ and then left. Neither of them said bye.

I cried on the way home. Like way to make someone feel unwelcome in your home. I felt so uncomfortable and I just needed to write it down because it was bothering me so much.

I’ve been reading a lot of MM romances lately. Like more than usual in a concentrated period. And since I post reviews on instagram I actually considered changing my next reads to make them more ‘audience friendly’ (aka straight) for the people who see my reviews on instagram and than I thought…fuck that! I read to make myself happy. If what I’m reading pisses people off, they can leave.

Picture 1 and 2: Straw-Berry! Aka Relay Coffee - where Scott and Kip meet and fall in love over the Blue Moon Over Brooklyn smoothie! No smoothies today (since it’s actually a coffee shop!) but we did get a Hollander Hot Chocolate and it was delicious!
