AU — Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines

Mikey Way is a Malkavian vampire.

In my head, both Ways were turned against their will, and now they are forced to survive alone.

Gerard is disgusted by the cruelty of the world he has found himself in; he tries to stay in the shadows, but he has to be cold-blooded. Mikey, on the contrary, enjoys his new un-life and takes everything from it — in life, he had to hide his manipulative tendencies, but now they are his trump card.

I don't know how suitable my advice is for beginning artists, because I only got to this point recently, but it has made my life a lot easier. The point is not to bother with every detail during the sketch, but just chaotically throw in broad lines, and then render and gradually add detail from them. This makes it much easier to achieve volume in a drawing.
