my laywright au 💫

i need to yap, so consider this a formal introduction to a project of mine that will be ongoing for a while but is also very important to me at the same time haha.

the story is called "Midnights In Chelsea" and is essectially just that - london life. the premise is simple; phoenix has lost his apartment two years into disbarment and is relocates to london with trucy after asking hershel for help. of course, he initially assumes this to be a temporary solution, but...well, that doesn't work out much.

it doesn't have what you'd consider a traditional plot - just slice of life moments focusing on character development, their respective backstories, hurt/comfort, angst, some fluff, and eventually romance.

I humbly present my pitch for pl vs aa 2: Professor Layton vs. The Great Ace Attorney!

In which Professor Layton and Luke (and hopefully Flora bc I love her) suffer time travel shenanigans and end up in the late 1800's following clues in the past to help them unravel a mystery in the present, and joined by Ryunosuke and Susato.

Maybe there's a subplot with Phoenix and Maya in the present trying to uncover clues Professor Layton left them in the past, like through the archeological artifacts in his office or sm.

(i wanted to contrast the dark blues and purples of the original, so I did yellow and green. And it's somewhere in Italy or Greece I guess for the light airy architecture instead of the heavy Gothic original. The big statues there as a centerpiece to replace the Grand Archive from the first game.

The upper gallery are characters from the games that I hope some of them would be present but probably not. The lower gallery would be original characters from the game but I just ended up doing random guys.)

(*rolls in*) greetings, it may interest you to know that I had a dream last night that I was in some sort of restaurant and all I could hear the entire meal was Laywright at the next table having a muddled back and forth argument about the word 'pissed' (which means 'drunk' here in the UK but means 'angry' in the US), which was muddled still further by my subconscious almost certainly horribly butchering Phoenix's voice because I'm nowhere near as familiar with his series as with Hershel's. Anyway. Thought I'd share that. (*rolls back out*)
