Happy Ash Wednesday! Today really seems to have lasted forever. 😪

Feeling like I’m getting back on track. 💪🏼 Had a Pumpkin Spice Latte this morning and a sausage biscuit.

It’s been a while, and a lot has happened. My Uncle passed away, and I’ve been dealing with that. I’m at peace with his passing, but I have so many regrets. I feel like I didn’t do enough while I had him. Perhaps, that’s just the feeling we’re left with. An endless void of “maybe.”

My boy was put in icu last night.

My Mom had this made for me. My Nanny passed away in July just 3 weeks after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

She lived in a trailer, and I cannot go into trailers because of my chair.

(Electric wheelchairs are too heavy for trailer floors. They’ll fall right through.)

Well, I said, “God! You cannot take my Nanny without letting me see her!”

Now here’s the thing, when we pray for something we often get angry because the answer isn’t the one we wanted. Doesn’t mean He didn’t hear us, it just means we didn’t get our way.

Well, she was put in the hospital shortly after my prayer. And for 14 beautiful hours, she was herself. No coughing. Just talking to everyone. She knew who we all were, and we got to say bye. She went to sleep at 10pm and didn’t wake back up. But I got to see her. And spend time with her. He gave me that gift.

This morning, I ate a banana and had a hot chocolate. I’m deep in my feels today. Been pestering my fiancé. Not sure why I’m so afraid to lose him all of a sudden.

Today was amazing! I got to see my Uncle and my sweet lovey came to church with me. He never does that. He’s been 5 times in our 5 years together. It really means so much to me when he’s there. Even if he doesn’t agree with the preaching. I’ve been spending less and less time with him on my path to be closer to God... I’m afraid he’ll just be gone one day.

But today, my Uncle was talking about my Sissy. He couldn’t remember her name, but he remembered how old she would’ve been. It hurts to watch your loved ones fade away. Knowing there’s nothing you can do.
