Not a proper photo, but the sky last night at like 9pm after a thunderstorm was just too fuckin' good for me not to post.

The orange light and rainbow literally only lasted five minutes, by the time I went to get my camera it had passed :(

IT’S A FUCKIN’ GRASSHOPPER OR SOMETHING

I think this may well be the most complicated restoration I’ve done to date. It’s not perfect by any means, but I had next to nothing to work with here. Obviously the shirt was kind of messed up by the scaling process, but I couldn’t quite fix it without making it look unnatural.

I literally had to rebuild the face from the ground up by mashing together different bits of different people’s faces, so it looks kind of uncanny valley but I’m kind of proud of it anyway?

Colourization and restoration commission from a mate of his Nan and Granddad. Quite happy with the way three of the four of these turned out.

Ran my old colourization of an old photo of my Grandma through Remini and Topaz Gigapixel, Adjust and Sharpen. So, SO happy with this.

I didn’t have the original any more so the left is an approximation of what I started with when I did the original colours two years ago.

This is probably the closest I’m going to get to a good photo of Jett indoors with this camera, there literally could not be more light in this room yet she’s still grainy as hell.

These are my two favourite close shots I got from Light the Earth; I didn’t take note of their names though and now I’m kicking myself for it because I know so little about minerals and gemstones and couldn’t identify them myself. 

I wanted to give them both their own posts but I don’t feel like I can do that without knowing their names? Gah.

Light the Earth in Valley Junction, West Des Moines

This shop was so gorgeous with so many different kinds of gemstones and minerals, I really appreciate the owner letting me take some practice shots in there. Hopefully the close shots I got do them justice.

Jett is a little cuddlebug <3 She was literally under the sheets when I walked in earlier, I tucked her further in and she stayed like this for hours.
