This morning on my way to work I saw a little orange kitten romping around in the wildflowers growing beside the trail but since I was already going to be running late I couldn't stop to say hi... God was taunting me with that one.

Reminder: If a kitten comes up to you in the wilderness, THOROUGHLY LOOK FOR OTHERS AND THE MAMA before going home with it. And after a thorough search of the area, if you do find them, take them too.

You can find homes for them among friends, co-workers, Facebook pet finding pages, and no-kill shelters. NEVER GIVE THEM AWAY FOR FREE, it attracts abusers and unethical breeders, but on FB, don’t say you’re giving them away for a fee because the website doesn’t understand the difference, you need to save that for the messages.

A kitten is rarely just gonna be hanging out there without them. Especially, the teeninsy ones. They can’t get very far, they have wittw wegs.

I wanna see more cat distribution system videos doing this. They make me so nervous when they don’t even mention it as someone who has rescued many litters.
