So the owner was home. That would make things difficult when it wanted to disappear. Enkidu felt a bit guilty for stealing people’s food, although most of the time it just dug through the trash so it wasn’t technically stealing. It could get food by going to its friends place, but she was having company tonight.

“Just some bread and I’ll go away and you’ll never see me again,” it stated.

The voice certainly sounded inhuman, something Duster wasn’t unaccustomed to. The thief scratched his chin for a moment before straightening up, hands on hips. 

“You show yourself first, and maybe I’ll be kind.”
