addie always assumed that, should jovi ever decide to return to the states, he’d let addie know himself. and when she’d heard rumors around the lot of his return, she refused to believe it until she saw him with her own eyes. hanging around the treble makers set seemed to be the only way to do so, since – if he was actually back in town – he was doing everything he could to avoid her. her eyes scanned the area, looking for any trace of her ex-fiancé; he just so happened to find her first. the sound of his voice alone sent her heart racing, her mind blanking on everything she’d wanted to say to him. “you’re here,” was all she could manage, her eyes drinking in every inch of him; maybe she wasn’t as over him as she’d thought, or maybe she never would be. “i mean – of course you’re here; i’m literallylooking at you, but –” where was she going with that? “i, um – when did you get back?” how long had she not known that they were in the same zip code?
“I am here,” he stated, because that seemed to be the easiest answer in that particular moment, the most straightforward way one could point out what was obvious. Of course, that led to an opening towards the most-likely follow up question, one he wasn’t just as keen on responding to. Both eyebrows arching up as he tried to mull it over, he made the mistake of meeting her eyes albeit very briefly, his entire body freezing at that slightest of contacts. Like there was a live wire somewhere he’d touched. “A few months. Not enough to contemplate breaking my lease.” Another pause, because he was unsure of whether to ask her something in return but, then again, he couldn’t see himself not to... “Were you looking for me?”
Every day brought with it a new challenge, if one was to believe in such philosophical mumbo jumbo. From his personal experience, every new crew member trampling through the studio with little to no concerns for everybody else’s work was his daily challenge. Which wasn’t particularly solved by the tea bags Starbucks deemed appropriate to overcharge for. He wasn’t necessarily overly enthusiastic over his day’s outlook so far, and the mood only slightly dampened as he caught sight of the actress -- however unfair it might be to refer to her that way in the privacy of his own mind. But there she stood, of course, unavoidable, and unmovable force in the middle of his storm. As it just so happened to be. “Were you looking for someone on set?” he heard himself ask, his gaze falling somewhere between the top of her head and her eyebrows. Never any lower. @ohvrcs
“hopefully just my pride; i’d hate to see what our lovely director would do to me if i broke their binder.” she attempted a smile back, running a hand through her hair now that she had a free one. it almost hurt to look at jovi sometimes with how pretty he was, and being in close proximity didn’t help matters. “kit would probably go easy on me, though.” she gave him a slightly more genuine smile and reached an arm out for the binders. “thanks for the concern, though.”
“Oh, dear, not their binder. It must’ve cost them at least one cent short of a dollar.” His tone was deadpan, seeing how it took something more than a title to earn his complete and absolute loyalty to the person in charge. “You don’t go around saying that so loudly now, can’t let these people think I’d go soft or something. Not even for those young ones under my care. So to speak.” He handed the precious items back, then, both arms crossing over his chest. “Let me know if you need a witness for worker’s comp.”
it had been a very, very long day and honestly? kit just wanted to get out of the studio and onto the nearest couch to take a nap for a solid eight hours. he’d been rummaging through his bag for his water bottle when he looked up, three different shoes in his hands. “did ya say somethin’? sorry, i was just… there’s a green water bottle round here somewhere. oh, sorry! again. uh, did you need anythin’?”
“Not unless you can find out who stole my thermos. That was a specialty blended tea.” His tone was even less friendly than usual - while sometimes he’d at least make an attempt to seem pleasant, this time around he wasn’t in a joking mood at all. “Green water bottle? Literally green or green as in eco-friendly? Maybe one of the PAs took it round to some fridge or recycling.”
Taemin was exhausted, between his classes and prepping for his show, but he always managed to find the time to call his mother. That is exactly what Taemin was doing as he walked down the street towards Starbucks before bumping into someone, “I’m sorry,” he apologized to the person in English before quickly saying good bye to his mother. “I really am sorry, are you okay?”
“Nothing got on my clothes, so I’ll let it slide.” Jovi squinted down at the slightly familiar face, waving a hand towards his own outfit. “Did you get lost on your way to set? You know they do offer you free coffee among other amenities, don’t you?” he inquired bluntly.
“I’m sure your presence has been sorely missed on your set. Although not much has changed on these studios for however long you must’ve missed, besides one or two sets being blown up on The Severance.”
ellie jerked her shoulder up in an attempt to get the strap of her duffel further back, her arms already full with her binders of choreography and scripts. of course it didn’t work and her duffel came sliding down her arm, sending her off balance and almost tumbling to the ground. she regained her footing at the cost of her binders, which slid across the concrete until they came to a stop at someone’s feet. “sorry,” she called out, groaning quietly as she moved to pick the binders up. “just…pretend you didn’t see that.”
“Well, I’ve seen worse," Jovi pointed out, ducking down to grab whatever it was happened to have landed by his feet, “but just barely. Did anything break besides your pride?” There was a hint of a smile on his lips, despite the slightly accusing tone in his voice.

~introducing Jovi here, hello
34 years YOUNG, currently employed over by treble makers as their main sound technician, but he made his way through Zenith Studios via being the the boom mic guy on several other shows
(haven’t decided which other shows he’s been on so if yours has been around for a while they might have worked together. or not)
he’s absolutely the guy you want to have on your team i promise
but also he’s not really into being treated like dirt bc he’s crew?? (*cough* callie *cough*)
not that i think most people here would, but
who am i kidding he’s gonna end up to be a total dad friend
he’s tall, he’s british, he’s smart, and he doesn’t even need to be so attractive, it’s just icing on the cake
yes that’s a quote from izombie but it’s a great quote
give us friends !! give us not friends !! give us potential lovers, potential enemies, give us exes !!
i don’t even know why i attempt to write these anymore~♥
born and raised in London, England
at first dabbled in acting because it seemed to be a fun way to express himself
somewhere along the line realized he’d prefer working behind the stage
(they needed less actors up there and more of people helping make sure things ran smoothly and he was tall so he was volunteered for it)
((but luckily he ended up liking it that way))
has a pretty active social life, but won’t let that get in the way of work
loves video games (but don’t quiz me on that bc i’m stuck on the ps2 spyro trilogy in my mind)
came to los angeles on a whim, but it’s a move he doesn’t regret making
(even though he’s heard the line about being exotic once or twice or thrice)
definitely won’t take sh!t from others lying down
and don’t let him catch you mishandling equipment ?? he takes his job v seriously
I’m building a career as big as humanly possible so I can be in a ‘Star Wars’ project. My life goal is to have a character in the 'Star Wars’ universe, film or other media. I just want to go to my grave knowing I played some character or some character based on my likeness was part of that world.
