When the old main characters become not main characters and turn into side characters, does it make you feel meh for them and care less about them? I just feel like they seem too old now.
for me, usually yes. there are a few select characters who are exempt, but that depends entirely on how invested I was in them when I was reading.
in the context of keeper, the character that i think of when given this prompt is Alden. he played a much bigger role in the first few books; he was the person Sophie went to for everything because he was the person who facilitated her transfer from the human world to elven. Now that she's been here a while she has a larger variety of people to call on and go to for information and help. And Alden has become almost obsolete.
you may have noticed me mentioning how my memory is very much as soon as I can't see it it doesn't exist anymore, and that's the same for characters. because he's not on page basically every anymore, i don't care about him anymore. He's just no longer important to the story, so I don't care what happens to him anymore. He served his purpose and now I've moved on to the newer/relevant characters.
another example I can think of is Jensi. I didn't really care for him from the beginning, but I care even less now. he was mentioned frequently enough that he kind of got a place as a main character, but was dropped off when he didn't fit into the future of the story. And now when I see him I just go "ah. that's him. moving on." because there's no spark, I don't have any reason or motive to care about him right now
in general, the longer I go without seeing a character the less I remember to care about them. if they're reintroduced into the story then it comes rushing back, but until that happens I just...meh.
But like I said, there are exceptions to this. For example: I still occasionally think about Tarina and whether or not we'll see her again because I got attached. I know she wasn't a main character but a similar principle applies to her.
some characters just outgrow their usefulness and we gradually move on from them, and that's fine. we find new characters to think about and different parts of the story that interest us.
was there any character you specifically had in mind when sending this? /gen. i defaulted to alden because I'd been recently thinking about how his role changed, but everyone connects to different characters differently, so I'd be curious who everyone else grew apart from !!
Pepperony Week 2019: ↳ day 6: post-endgame · after snapping his fingers, tony spent about six months in hospital recovering from his injuries. he's left with half of his face scarred and a prosthetic arm, but at least he's alive and finally getting to go home to his girls.

How would tokoyami react to a text from his s/o saying "I want a baby" (there was a thread of that on twitter and I cant stop thinking about it haha)
The muted phone gently vibrated on the nightstand. Without any delay, Tokoyami picked it up and checked who the message was from. Realizing it was from you, he quickly unlocked his phone to read the full message. To be honest, he tried to, but the last 4 words caught his attention right away.
S/O: I want a baby
All of a sudden his hands were sweaty and his mind went blank.
Tokoyami: what?
S/O: I’ve been thinking about it and I want one
Tokoyami: you sure?
S/O: yes
Tokoyami: okay then..
S/O: really??
Tokoyami: yeah, we’ll talk when you get home
