He was supposed to be meeting some people in Sinnoh in a city called Jubilife. But somehow he managed to end up in some town called Sandgem by accident. White was completely sure it wasn’t his fault, but he just managed to get lost in some weird way or some shit. 

Now he’s running around a bit annoyed about how things are going due to his stupidity and he has a bread in his mouth. 

Because this guy is damned hungry.

Looking around for someone for help would be a easy feat if he didn’t look strange with a piece of bread in his mouth… Until he saw that kid strutting around a bit bored. So he jogs up to him.

"Hey you! Can you do a small favor and help me out here?"

Platinum was on his way to his usual walking path. Luckily, he hadn't quite begun his deep thinking, or he wouldn't have noticed the young man calling to him.

He looked busy. And rather important. Platinum saw the opportunity to make a connection, and connections are important for his status.

"How may I help you?"

He admits that he doesn’t know who he likes.

Well that’s kind of fine for her. She didn’t need him to tell her about his love life and all his famous beaus or some other shit. Actually she would run off if he did say who he did like or said that he’s engaged or some random crap.

Rich brats are really weird.

"Oh. Okay."

So Diamond is kind of safe at this moment for now—- No wait, Dia doesn’t this kind of shitty guy who’s rich and arrogant! Ugh.She mentally slaps her in trying to pair up Dia and the Master.

Pearl doesn’t want to see her with this kind of guy, it would maker her vomit! Yeah! 

Instead of deciding to leave it at is, she takes one more stab at the lad with her jeer.

"It’s not like anyone would like you, anyway." 

She smiles cheekily sticking out her tongue. 

“If someone did, they must be that silly to like a jerk like you!!”

Walking off, she turned her head at him and made a face adding more insult at the younger boy just for the fun of it.

“Bleeeeh!”

Platinum kept very silent while Pearl insulted him, trying to focus on his work rather than her words. He heard her start walking off, and then... she taunted him once time. In the most childish way imaginable!

"Fine! I'd prefer to be alone right now anyway!" he snapped angrily. Huffing, he returned to his book.

No matter what, and this was something he very much loved about Dawn, she would always battle with him. Then again, perhaps this was more of a fundamental aspect of their culture rather than Dawn being nice, or anything like that.

Regardless.

Battle.

There is a battle at hand now, and as his empoleon is released in a bright flash of red light, Barry is self assured, as always, that he will come out with another tally to add to his mental ‘win’ score. The losses were far and in between, so he doesn’t have a particular way of keeping track of that.

"All right! This is gonna be a piece of cake!" He does one of those ridiculous motions as he calls out for his empoleon to attack, pointing dramatically at his target. “Empoleon, use bubble beam on rapidash!"

Worrying about battles was something she never did, double battles were no excuse. This wasn’t the first time that she and Barry had been partners. Dawn already knew he was a great trainer, so she was confident in him. No matter who they went up against, they wouldn’t lose.

"Come on out, girl." With that, she let out her Infernape. Barry was by her side, so she knew they wouldn’t lose. If she had to pick someone to battle with, it’d had to be Barry. Battling like this reminded her of their first tag battle together. It’s been a long time since then… This guy had no idea who he was messing with!

Anyway, time for the fun to start.

"Never underestimate an opponent, Barry!" She was thinking the same, but this guy had to be somewhat decent. "Infernape, use Close Combat on Lopunny!" Dawn ordered. The Infernape went on to attack.

Super-effective attacks, yes, but very predictable. He had, of course, sent his Pokémon out first to give them the upper hand. And it appears as though they squandered it.

"Lopunny, evade! Counter with Jump Kick! Rapidash, Protect!"

"Y-You can?! I can get back home?!" he shouted, equally relieved. ‘Phew! This guy saved my can!' he thought. 'I thought I was lost forever for a second there.' His anxiety of not being able to go home changed to anxiety of wanting to get back. He sorta kinda bounced in place for a second like an excited toddler before assuming a sort of begging pose in front of Platz. “Please Sir! I'd love if you could do that for me!”

"Alright, then." This boy was very worrying... Platinum decided to ensure his safety. "There is a port in Canalave City you can take a boat from."

"Oh."

Her faced closed up and gave a huge disappointed sigh.

‘…. T-these two…’ she mumbles. These two people in the world are really, reallyJUST SO DUMB.

At least Dia is more honest about her feelings in her actions. But the Master? She ain’t sure about that. Judging by his actions and voice, Pearl could honestly tell he’s being a tsuntsun again about it.

But he isn’t quite clear about his feelings. She wondered if he liked someone else or was just shy to admit he liked Diamond. Should she force it out of him, or just keep questioning him?

Questioning him is a good idea in away…

"… Hmm…."

Her face was completely blank as she spoke again.

"Maybe I should rephrase what I meant." she says slowly. “I’ll ask again." 

She breathes in again and a visual image of Dia suddenly appeared scolding her for teasing her and the master. What could she do? She is just damn too curious!

“Do you in away have any feelings for anyone. I mean like anyone."

But if he did have feelings for her (Dia), Pearl will personally flip her shit.

She looked... disappointed? What on earth was she disappointed about? He'd given the both of them a compliment... Platinum felt like he was missing something. And then--

Platinum spluttered. She did not just ask him about his love life! It took every ounce of strength in him to not snap at Pearl. Rather, he composed himself, and... wait. What was his answer? He had never given it much thought, what with the adventures he had... But, come to think, the heir to Berlitz needed a partner.

"I-I... don't know. I've never thought about it." Perhaps it was time he started to think about it.

"Hey, hey, don’t be looking suspiciously at me. I’m not doing anything wrong here!" Well not wrong on her part, but the Master could probably blame him for fooling him into something stupid.

And well embarrass Dia and the Master in the process, again.

She once accidentally asked this question to her best friend once, which led Diamond to ban her from speaking to her for a week or receive any baked goods or food.

Such the horror.

Although it was partly Dia’s fault for being stubborn and turning flustered. 

No wait it was in a way her fault, but she won’t admit that.

"Say… Little Master…"

"What do you think of Diamond?"

What an odd question, out of the blue. Still, if she was looking for an answer... Platinum closed his eyes to think for a bit.

"She is... one of my trusted friends, along with you." (yeah that's right platz pull a cop-out)

"H-Huh? Um…I’m from Unova. Aspertia City, to be exact." he answered. “Do you know where that is? In relation to here?" He asked. ‘Wherever here happens to be in relation to home…’ he thought. There was absolutely no way he could’ve been dropped off at some destination close to home. Absolutely not. The place he knew most about was Sinnoh and even that was hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away. And since this seems to be caused by a Pokémon who can rip space up, whose to say he couldn't be in some alternate reality? Another dimension? A distant planet where Pokémon exist? The possibilities all just made him even more panicky and helpless. Nate was a living train wreck and if this guy couldn’t help him home God knows what he’d do with himself…

Platinum was absolutely relieved. "Unova is distant, but it is certainly no trouble to return to," he said, giving a (hopefully-)comforting smile. "If you'd like, I can help arrange a boat ride for you."

"Jeez, cool your jets, Dawn!" Barry hops up onto the soles of his feet, stance wide as a mountain and hands balled up into fists— looking like he’s more ready to fight his best friend rather than help her out of an embarrassing situation.

"He totally looks like you!" The blond blindly gestures to where he believe is the general vicinity of his latest thud victim. “You’re like, wearing the exact same clothes! C’mon, you gotta say that it’s kinda uncanny—"

Besides, it’s not like he’s ugly, or anything. Right?

Out the corner of his eye, Barry can watch the boy who he guesses doesn’t look THAT much like Dawn get up onto his feet, body wavering threateningly like a fawn— newborn, spindly legs and all. Yeah, he’s not ugly, probably. But that aside, he— the other boy, that is, with his pink pants and weirdly shaped hat— looks raring to fight, balls in hand and all that— and that is far more exciting to Barry than making whatever amends may be necessary with Dawn.

"Hey, HEY—" He grins, reaching around his belt for his empoleon’s pokeball—

"Looks like this guy wants a battle! You ready, Dawn?!"

"What?! Are you kiddin’ me?" Dawn wanted to punch her good friend, but she was also concerned for the guy. “Pretty sure I didn’t spot some guy with a miniskirt on—" Though she had to look at the guy again to make sure. 

Tch, stupid Barry. Can’t even tell between his childhood friend and some random guy he ran into. Okay, maybe they looked a bit alike, but she was way more muscular than him!! Or was she starting to lose some muscle—?! 

Barry was starting to get excited and that wasn’t a good sign. And of course, she knew a reason as to why he would get this way… She opened her bag as he asked. Picking Infernape, of course. 

"Ready, Barry!" She grinned as well. No way she was going to turn down a fight!

She was about to jump the guy anyway.

A double battle. Fine. His experience and skill was more than enough to trump the combined idiocy of these two. He pulled out a second Poké Ball and, with a smirk, cast both out.

"Lopunny! Rapidash!"

It dawned on Platinum that his most recent battle was a long time ago... Nevertheless, he was confident in his victory.

"Do you think I’m going to rush in that fucking nightmare world? NO!" she hisses quietly at him folding her arms. She wished she had her fan right now, so she could hit him silly with it. Moving her hands down and clenching them into a fist, Although one other idea seemed kind of pleasurable to her.

Demeaning him by asking him questions that would make him flustered or rather just kick his poor little ass.

‘It might embarrass Dia later on…’ she thought with her mouth turning into a smile like a Chesire Cat. There was one question on her mind and she knew it will work somehow. Her grin was small but unseen, as she closed it when she spoke.

"Little Master~ Can I ask you a small question?"

This will be really fun for her for now!

Without Diamond as a mediator, there was no stopping Platinum and Pearl from bickering with each other. This had happened often recently. Very often.

"The entire point of my argument is that hopefully we WON'T have to--"

Wait. Pearl was wearing a coy smile. That did not bode well. What was she plotting...

"What...?"

She was about to speak again but she closed her mouth in a thin line frowning.

Pearl didn’t want to wait for the Pokemon Association to help them find Diamond. Dia was probably stuck somewhere in that nightmarish world. Or she could have been in some kind of weird trouble! She doesn’t want to think of the worst but she’s seen it happened before.

Many, many times before.

She was overreacting and she knew it herself, but she couldn’t help but feel this way.

‘Dia is the type who gets into situations and get hurt easily….’

Biting her lips, she glares at the younger boy who is busily reading something and asks staring through him,"Do you think our adventures through the Distortion World and all that other crap is the cause of the strange distortions?"

she certainly hoped not, because if it was she is going to kick that ass that is needed to be kicked to the point of who-knows-where of the Distortion.

The thought had occurred to Platinum already. It was entirely possible the events in the Distortion World had disrupted some kind of balance... but it was entirely impossible to tell.

"I don't know."

How many times had he said that recently...?

"We aren't even sure where she is. If we rush into the Distortion World and find she isn't there, what then? We aren't even sure if there is a way to leave..."

"Wait wait wait wait— So…I teleported to another region entirely?!" Nate grabbed his head quickly, confused and panicked. ‘Oh crap! Oh crap, oh no! How do I get back?! How did this happen?! What is GOING ON?!’ It kept going in circles. All these questions and no answers.

"S-So am I just like, stuck here— Sir?!" he asked. He was biting his nails internally…and probably externally too. If he hadn’t had tripped and fallen off that ledge he wouldn’t have poofed into some strange place all Wizard of Oz style. But then he took a moment in his panic to re-reel through the words the young man told him.

"Wait…a Pokémon that can distort…space?!" He couldn’t believe it. A Pokémon that could distort space. But, maybe it wasn’t too unusual, given he had met a Pokémon that could fuse with another before…

"Er…" Platinum sighed heavily, trying to gather his bearings on the matter. The boy in front of him seemed to be panicking in an almost amusing manner... Perhaps he said too much? Mentioning an almost all-powerful, god-like Pokémon might not have been the best thing to do, given the situation. If it ended up that this boy came from one of the regions familiar to him, he might be able to help. If he didn’t...

There was only one way to find out. 

"Where are you from?"

Barry comes to no real planned halt, though he finds his run wavering a bit suddenly as an inexplicable wave, or ripple, or something, passes right through him. Steps coming to a questioning slow, the blond stops with the dirt path crunching beneath his loafers.

"Hunh…" He doesn’t recall the route just north of Sandgem looking anything like this and— when he turns around, his hands on his hips, he realises that little, dull, cookie cutter town isn’t there at all— did he really run so far?

Lifting his hand, Barry scopes the perimeter— Knowing Lucas, he’s probably nowhere nearby. That kid’s always been the slowest. The slowest! Nerd.

Lucas aside, Barry finally spots something ahead— straight ahead— two blobs of dark blue, white, black, and pink. One of them’s gotta be Dawn! Huh. He guesses there are other people that like those colors, too. Unfortunate, but still— he runs to her—

"Dawn! Dawn, hey! H—ey—?!" But as he comes closer, he realises something eerie about one of them and it is that they look so very similar, the blond doesn’t know which he should be running to and yelling at and before he knows it—

Crash! He tumbles into someone— who had been walking away, and he figures it must be dawn— a tail of a pink scarf flutters into his face as he catches himself on all fours.

"Hey! You’re causin’ trouble again, aren’t you, Da—"

"Huh…? Heey, when’d you get your hair cut?"

Did… did he just ignore her? There wasn’t any reaction or anything! Was this guy deaf or something? Or was he looking for a good beating up? It would be rude of her to deny his unspoken request, right? 

Getting ready to jump the guy, she heard—- BARRY?! 

Looking at the direction where the voice was coming, there he was. Sinnoh’s fastest runner. She didn’t even have time to stop him or react due to his speed. The next thing she knows is that Barry crashed, but it wasn’t into her. 

It all happened so fast that she didn’t even know what to say. Her best friend just crashed into the guy she was trying to get directions from… The same guy who just ignored her, so she was pretty thankful that Barry handled it. 

Barry was talking to the guy, but he was using her name? Wait, did he really think—- Oh no, how dare he confuse his best friend for some random jerk who was obviously less built than her!

"What the fuck, Barry?!" Her reply was slow, but filled with anger. “Did you just think that guy is me? Just look at him! We are nothing alike! Are you trying to insult me?"

Dawn grabbed Barry by his green scarf. “THIS GUY IS LESS BUILT THAN LUCAS!! WHAT KIND OF BEST FRIEND ARE YOU?!?!" 

Oh shit—- She looked at the guy that Barry had crushed. “Are you okay, mister?" He’s puny so he just might be dead. Barry, please tell me you didn’t just kill a man.

Platinum laid face-down on the grass for a long moment, trying to comprehend the many things that had happened within the past ten seconds. He listened to the conversation between the two people. One accused him of causing trouble. The other lashed out with coarse language. And she was insulted to be compared to Platinum?!

But when it came right down to it, the most important thing was that he was, well, face-down on the grass.

And he could not have that.

He rose from the ground slowly. Very dramatically. When he turned around to face the pair, there was a Poké Ball clenched in his hand.

The literally butt-hurt boy looked over to his side to see someone approaching him. Maybe they saw what just happened. He stood up, rubbing his rear a little in a futile attempt to soothe it from landing on hard rock. “Uh, yeah, I guess I’m alright. A little beat up, but less than I would’ve been if I had fallen into the river." he said. Nate looked at him inquisitively for his next comment though.

"W-Wait, strange…occurrence?"

Uh oh. A strange occurrence. Yeah, it was strange alright. He had just teleported out of the air over a raging river to someplace completely unfamiliar to him. I’d say that’s pretty odd, wouldn’t you? ‘Don’t tell me that I’m some part of another evil scheme again…’ he thought to himself. Nate looked at the guy standing in front of him.

"Whaddya mean by strange occurrence, man?" He asked. “Like…I just teleported here and I have no idea why…are you telling me you know what’s going on here?"

"I-I would prefer 'sir', if you don't mind. Regardless..." The boy was probably very confused, so Platinum forgave his lapse in judgement. But, since the boy was a victim, he deserved to know about what was happening.

"Recently, a strange explosion occurred at the Spear Pillar of Sinnoh, which is at the peak of this Mt. Coronet. You are in Sinnoh, by the way," Platinum added as an afterthought. "And the Spear Pillar is home to very powerful Pokémon; notably, one that posesses the ability to distort space... You are a victim of the problem this has caused." He had tried to be succinct, but feared the boy was too young to fully grasp the situation.

"HEY!"

She didn’t mean to yell intentionally, but at this moment she felt annoyed. Actually, it was more like pissed off, no more like a freaking fucking pissed off.

The reason why? She’s stuck with the stuck up spoiled brat Berlitz who doesn’t give a single shit that she’s even near him. Why does Dia even like this guy?

Oh wait, it’s because he’s like a freaking prince who rides on a Rapidash like in Dia’s old fairy tale books.

She sighs. ‘Diamond has weird taste.’

Not only that, her best friend Diamond has been missing for a few days. Pearl was kind of getting worried about it and she didn’t like the odd occurrences that has been happening.

The distorted space was really getting a bit troublesome and she didn’t want to lose Dia again nor see the distortion world again. It was one fucked up place for sure."Little Master, are you even listening to me or are you that deaf?”

"I am listening to you, Pearl, and I am not deaf." Platinum said testily. "Please stop shouting. There are people in the other room"

He understood why Pearl was on edge. Diamond and Pearl were childhood friends, nearly inseparable all their lives; for Diamond to go missing, now of all times... The worst-case scenario was worryingly likely.

"For now, all I can do is put out an alert. I've contacted the Pokémon Association, since we are in their good graces, and requested one to be instated. Apart from that..." Platinum trailed off. There was truly little he could do... He returned to the text he was poring over.

Dawn was strolling around Sinnoh just to get out of the Villa. Jeez, she was really spacing out because she was completely lost. Even if she lived here her whole life, the girl sucked with directions and junk. One of the many things she never cared about. Perhaps she would learn from this situation… Nah.

The trainer continued to walk, trying to figure out where she was. What a memory fail… She had no idea where she was. Just then she saw a figure up ahead. Boy, she was one lucky person. Though, she shouldn’t tell how the person looked like. Trying to charm them would hopefully work this time around.

"Hey there, lovely person! Could ya help me out? Kinda got lost…" Dawn walked up to them while she spoke.

Route 221 is a straight and very short route. It's also very verdant at this time of year, and as such it fulfills Platinum's every requirement for his daily reflection. He mused on the recent events that had plagued his life: Sinnoh shaken by an unexplained explosion in the least convenient location, the Spear Pillar; strange distortions in reality popping up; Rowan calling him to action... the prying from the media, and the subsequent covering-up by the Berlitz family...

As he walked, he took in his surroundings. The sea roared distantly. Two Wingull called to each other as they circled. A young girl shouted something to a nearby friend. Something about love... Platinum closed his eyes contentedly and, lost in thought, walked on.

His hair sort of flopped in the easy breeze of the Southwestern Unova. The fresh smell of the grass and the gentleness of the breeze. “Ah, it’s great out today," He mused. Walking along, he accidentally sort of tripped on a rock. “Gh! Woah!" But soon, he realized where he tripped was a bad place to trip, for it was right off the cliff and into the flowing river below. “Waaaaaaah!!!" He yelled. He frantically searched himself for his Pokéballs in order to save himself from injury. But then, just as he grabbed one, the falling feeling suddenly stopped.

"H-Huh?!"

The air around him felt unnatural. It sort of was surreal. He was just sort of floating there and everything was blurry around him. It was as if everything had distorted. Soon though, the falling resumed, but he was much closer to the ground. “Oof!" He cried as he hit the ground on his rump.

He looked around. “Um…" He muttered. “This place…doesn’t look familiar at all…" And there he was, at the foot of Mt. Coronet, staring at its daunting presence and height. “What’s going on here…?!"

"Normal."

Platinum Berlitz cast his gaze to the top of Mt. Coronet yet again. The small gadget in his hand laid silent, as usual. No sign of activity here. He couldn't help but allow a low, frustrated sigh escape him.

This couldn't go on. At some point, he would have to travel to the source of the distortion: the Spear Pillar. But why had he not done so already? Fear, perhaps? Platinum shook the idle thoughts out of his head. For now, it was just too dangerous. Perhaps, if his trusted pair of friends were here--

It was then when the detector in Platinum's hand shook.

Immediately, he scanned the surrounding area. From... there! Platinum backed away from the spot his detector displayed, hiding behind the nearest rock face. And, sure enough, something appeared. Someone! Platinum watched as the boy appeared, suspended in air... and cringed when he very suddenly crashed down to earth. He allowed for a second of rumination on the arrival's part, then stepped forward.

"Are you... quite alright?" he said gently. "I'm afraid you've fallen victim to a strange occurence..."
