Canker in the Heart
May we never lose sight of one thing: the "canker in the heart" of Anne Rice’s collected works is a mother’s grief. From that grief flowed a wellspring of macabre beauty, as red and as thorny as any rose. Honor her.

"And i hope when you think of me years down the line, you can't find one good thing to say..."
In case someone here doesn’t know this fun fact yet: vampire bats feed each other blood (mouth to mouth; something similar to human kisses) to help the weaker ones, as well as to strengthen social bonds.
In other words, Anne Rice’s vampires and their bloody kisses act in a similar way to what actual vampire bats do :))
Tom Cruise re: Lestat, 1
“I used the books as a reference for me and, y'know, you have to read them, especially Interview with the Vampire, because it’s from Louis’s point of view, you have to read it very carefully to find the clues to who Lestat is, and y'know… his loneliness, and his, his personal… struggle. He recognizes that Louis’ a unique… being, and if he wanted… y'know it’s that whole thing, and Lestat gives him the choice - very clearly - even in the book Lestat gives Louis the choice, uh, and that’s something I felt very strongly about… and when Lestat asks Louis, “Do you still want death? Or have you tasted it enough?” He’s really asking Louis:
“Do you still wanna die? I mean, now you know, you’ve come close to death, is this what you want?”
Just Lestat being silly, I just love drawing him happy like this
A nice little Louis description by Lestat at the beginning of the Tale of the Body Thief draft. 🥰

Shout-out to Mulder and Scully for hugging so much! Specifically during moments of severe emotional distress and subsequent breakdown.
Also, shout-out to every time Mulder or Scully kisses the other on the forehead!
Capitalism sucks. Unless it's Louis de Point du Lac doing it, then it's funny.
