I used animaker software (http://www.animaker.com/) to firstly turn an introductory paragraph on my modelling project into speech then I used customisable animations to produce a video. I am planning to build up section by section and produce a Udemy course on econometric modelling.

Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer

I am preparing for the Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certificate at the moment. The courses leading up to this are wonderfully interesting.

I have to admit I was slightly daunted until I realized that I am familiar with most of the data engineering tools! So MySQL and Hadoop/Pig/Spark/Hive become Cloud SQL and Cloud DataProc so no problem. I’m looking forward to doing this.

I found some lovely company data at data.world the inc5000 listings for the years 2007 – 2017. Over at data.world I used their SQL dashboard to extract a small subset the dataset and imported it into public.tableau.
