A Man of Condiments

I am a man a green man a blue man a pink man a man of condiments of upward self-destruction and glib downward vectors of languid poise and wanderlust wandering contradictions I glide, limp and graze I curse what I lose I cherish what I find I want everything I am sandrock I am a wrist -- an elbow I am arboreal locomotion A crepuscular worshipper I am foolish prosody that makes no sense until you repeat me repeat me then you’ll start to get me Dave made me do it -- Dave made me do it I’m a worthy stigma an executable introvert a cynical optimist a sceptical believer a beat zen filibuster with a sly ego I have only rational fears Of gravity, and happiness and man-eating animals If I had a multiverse machine I would find the me who didn’t chase his dreams and ask me ‘Are you happy?’ Because if chasing dreams is supposed to make us happy it’s a terrifying ride -- like finding yourself falling out of the sky So I must believe there’s a point when you feel like you’re flying which is why I keep on trusting this feeling of what it is to be me.

Faults are a bit like freckles - we easily notice them on others but not on ourselves, and when they get pointed out we can get defensive - defending our freckles that don't need defending.

Donegal and Wine in China Cups

From lough and craggy bluff to where forest meets the gentile coves of Donegal bathing in moksha that frolics in movement The fate of the skunk-lined curve weaving mountain to river to mountain  living on sunset skylines  and hotel coupons (with a little help from War on Drugs) Makes me think of Idaho of Montana, Tennessee and  the Carolinas The swing between green and blue highway and byway me and you drinking Madeira  at a garage sale  out of a broken China set for two
