I never had time to make this collage yesterday because of all that ‘being social’ nonsense but here it is

I was wondering why, really, I bother to do this thing. But I just relistened to King Coffee’s Conversations and Travel because I had to search for the artwork for the collage and oh god it’s so good. This is the best way for me to revisit some of the albums I listened to last year. I’d recommend anyone that sees this and cares to do a similar thing.

Last year I listened to a new (to me at least) album every day. The rules I set myself were that I had to listen to 365 albums over the entire year, and I could not have heard the album or EP in full before. It was a lot of fun but exhausting. I feel like this is a nicer and more digestible way for me to look back on what I listened to as opposed to the full written list is beyond overwhelming.

Over October I’ve been working on a small project to practice my Photoshop skills and play with colour. The idea is to provide a re-purposed detail from a painting (originally 16th to 19th Century but it evolved from that) as artwork for each track to LCD Soundsystem’s ‘This Is Happening’. I’m not so keen on some of the designs now but hey ho my CC subscription is about to expire so we’ll make do.
