It’s been confirmed that Robert and Sadie have scenes coming up that have been hinted to be awkward and funny

Imagine a scene where Seb, aged 9, admits to Robert and Aaron that he can't ride a bike, because Rebecca was so scared he would get hurt, and he used to only get to watch Ross and Moses playing around on bikes.

So they get him a bike for his birthday or just as a surprise, and Robert gets to teach him something cool for the first time.

And then realise we will never get to see anything of the sort, because they have wasted this scenario on a 50 year old guest star turned main character and the 24 year old son he always knew he had but never told even his husband (😫) about. A son who is old and self sufficient enough to grow and sell weed and buy and run half a café.

And you think we are reaching to loathe this character and the way he's being served Robert's storylines on a platter at the same time he's also keeping Robert from getting the self stabbing reveal story as well??

Why do people keep thinking Laura Shaw’s just forgotten about a robron wedding?? The show mentioned it a couple of times since corriedale and she literally said she keeps being asked about it so she’s hardly forgotten

It honestly is so insane so insane that no one is asking about Seb like …??? He is part of Robert part of his story part of this fucking family and legacy they keep mentioning you can’t talk about family and not actually talk about his family ??!!!! INSANE AND BIZARRE!!!

Right?! I know someone asked Ryan a few months back about family in general because of that like Robert said to Aaron but Ryan responded saying that it could happen at some point just not right now as far as he was aware but nothinh was asked specifically about Seb apart from the stuff we got at christmas because they were both interviewed about him

I think these press interviews should have asked LS about the red-headed 8 year old elephant in the room and if she’s even considering a return for him anytime soon since she was asked about their wedding

Atp, i honestly think that bringing robron back was more strongly supported by it higher ups rather than ED team. I don't think laura shaw or even sophie cares for them but probably they have pressure from higher ups hence all the big things are given to them in theory except the actual depth in them. The farm, the engagement, getting back together, 2 psycho husbands going down in history kinda stuff and specially after recent LS interview, I think she really loves and wants to push charity and mack and hence she gets annoyed as to why people are still caring about robron wedding when her beloved couple has such a good sl rn. ITV seems to honestly adore robron (going as far to include them as the only? Soap couple in the list of iconic couples of all time) and posting their clips from time to time but ED and LS don't care.

Not sure I agree with this tbh….in reality none of us know what goes on off screen and maybe a lot of their lack of depth may be down to Danny’s time off (who knows). The show itself went begging Ryan for YEARS to come back (inc Danny), I feel if the producers didn’t really care for them then they wouldn’t have kicked THE DINGLES out of the farm they’ve had for decades to put robron in it. I don’t think she was all that annoyed that people were asking about a robron wedding she said at the end ‘watch out for 2027!’

People seem to forget that Laura Shaw has been series producer since DECEMBER 2018 rotationally. (as I will repeat, they’ve been asking Ryan back for years after he left). I think for ED they barely post much about robron because there is barely anything to post. They posted about them when they announced the farm and they posted their corriedale proposal and they even posted the clip about Aaron waiting for Robert with the caption ‘aaron would wait a thousand years for robert’ the show knows and they’re aware but tbf the ED socials aren’t as good in general as they use to be.

Hahahaha I am sorry like what are they even mad about? Proposal taking up time from….??? If anything it was more Corrie focused on the priest death and the older lady but overall everyone got something out of it and all round screen time. but like your ladies are married and good what’s got you pressed about a proposal that lead to nowhere unlike yours months ago …if anything it is greener over at yours like ??? This is so ridiculous it’s baffling to me hahahaha fighting over a crumb when they have their own cake ..???

I mean I think Emmerdale had more focus from corriedale based on what actually ended up happening, they got the biggest shock factors as well I feel. But yeah, literally have no clue what they’re even moaning about.

I know alot of people wish the engagement at Corriedale never happened (cuz it feels pointless??? Maybe) and I get feeling that way for whatever reason (we deserved to see that kiss!!!!! )but

you know what…

I am glad it did then and there because it was done by a writer and director who knew them and their history and cared enough to actually use it and lean into it for the moment than have it done by the current team of producers and writers who didn’t even care enough to do the traditional silly Christmas jumpers…like genuinely no need to even try being “creative” ITS THEIR TRADITION ffs!! they couldn’t even do that. so I dread to think what horribleness they would have written for “their” “engagement” if handled by current people

so I am glad it happened in that very them way and it was emotional and sentimental to them.

Imagine if they do kill off a bunch of characters and they still won’t give Robron a storyline this year because they would still rather focus on the same 4 people? But doesn’t the media tend to hype a cast cull whenever there’s some stunt happening? I don’t think it’s any different than when there’s fight and they say “LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION!” and it’s just someone falling on some hay.

That’s very true but they do seem to love axing their cast atm so I also wouldn’t put it past them

So it seems like not only are they axing Jimmy (killed), Noah, Vinny and Dawn but ‘killing off’ Sadie whilst still keeping the door open for her (fake death?) and it’s being teased that their big stunt could kill off even more characters
