Hi there! I’m Chips, my pronouns are he/him, and welcome to my creative works blog! I’m gonna be mainly using this for my Sonic fankids right now (and reblogging other people’s amazing fankids!❤️), but I might post about my other Sonic OCs occasionally too. I must admit I’m not as much of an artist as a lot of other fankid creators, but I plan on drawing my fankids a lot more once I get design/reference drawings done for them (that phase just takes me ages because I’m indecisive af)
Personal/blog intro out of the way, welcome to the Dawn Chorus AU! (The name doesn’t hold much relevance, I just wanted a collective name I could use for all my fankids so I based the name on my first fankid Dawn lmao). I’ll make intro posts for the AU (it’s mostly pretty canon compliant but there are some headcanons thrown in that I should clarify) and kiddos themselves and link them in the Dawn Chorus masterpost later (I’ll also create and link the masterpost itself later)

Dawn the Hedgehog, Sonic and Shadow’s daughter. 2nd fastest thing alive, not-quite-so-ultimate lifeform, and up-and-coming hero. Struggles with being a Black Arms hybrid and hiding that part of herself. Team Chorus member.
Ultraviolet “UV” the Hedgehog, Dawn’s clone and younger sibling. Physically about 10 years younger than Dawn. Split from their Black Arms half in a rogue GUN scientist’s experiments to bring back the Black Arms, kept around as his lab assistant until they were rescued.
Black Light, UV’s Black Arms half. Shape-shifting Black Arms creature, intelligence is about equal to a Pokemon or a HTTYD dragon. Extremely protective of UV, sometimes to a fault.
Treasure the Echidna, Knuckles and Rouge’s daughter. Born via a divine blessing from the Master Emerald so she can one day take over as its guardian, but an avid adventurer and party girl in the meantime. Team Chorus member.
Mosaic the Metalhog (previously known as Metal Dawn), Metal Sonic’s daughter but was taken in by Belle the Tinkerer. Runaway Badnik and proud to be a hero, though in the heat of battle she sometimes has to be reminded to suppress her more murderous functions. Team Chorus member.
Neo Metal Dawn V2 (called V2 for short, or Vee by Nemesis), Metal Sonic’s daughter. Aspiring only-child. Best friend associate of Nemesis.
Briar Rose, Blaze and Amy’s son. Chlorokinetic Imperial Prince of the Sol Empire.
Misty Rose, Blaze and Amy’s daughter. Hydrokinetic Imperial Princess of the Sol Empire Queen of the Pirates.
Horizon the Hedgehog, Silver and Espio’s kid. Born 200 years in the future, found alone as an infant by Silver and brought back to the present to have a better life, now the youngest member at the Chaotix Detective Agency. As the present changes the future, Horizon’s memories of the future change with them, giving him a very limited form of foresight and the ability to predict apocalyptic events.
Rocket the Macaw, Jet’s son. Extreme Gear champion, wants to be just like his dad, deeply insecure and generally fake as fuck.
Vengeance / Genesis the Jackal, Infinite’s kid. A consciousness that exists inside the Phantom Ruby, Vengeance manifested from Infinite’s rage and hatred festering inside the Ruby for so long. Using the Ruby’s power to give herself a body, she originally sought revenge on behalf of Infinite, but got redeemed and changed her name to Genesis.
Nemesis the Phantom. An alternate version of Genesis who got zapped into my AU’s main timeline when her Phantom Ruby was shattered. Emotionally volatile, power hungry, and manipulative. Best friend associate of V2.
Thunder (Tumble’s kid) and Lightning (Rough’s kid). Incongruent cousins and aspiring villains, will be dangerous when they finally stop arguing all the time.
Cruise the Opossum, Clutch the Opossum’s grandkid. Shady businessperson (not outright running a crime empire like Clutch but they don’t respect the law either), wishes they didn’t have to spend so much of their time beefing with teenagers.
Ian the Third, Ian Jr’s kid. Nobody knows what their deal is really.

Fritter knows UV is like her in a way. She doesn’t respond to the child, it’s hard to look at them knowing what she did to their sister.

MUAHAH let’s both be clones and have gender issues… the context for this is fritter nearly killed dawn (UVS older sister) in a state of panic during a very big battle. Fritter was not in the right state and mind and dawns lucky to have speed healing

Saving others and being a guardian is fritters way of atoning for letting her universe be destroyed, she couldn’t save them so she has to save others. Though she can’t die so she’s in a constant battle for eternity.

About Aster Rose: Meet Aster Rose the Hedgehog, daughter of Sonic & Amy! She's named after the flower, meaning 'star'... very fitting for this starry girl! She inherited her dad's super speed, and both her parents' sense of justice & love for adventure. Her main attacking moves are the ever-reliable spin dash and her speciality, the 'Aster-nado'. You can catch her saying a LOT of phrases like 'follow the stars' or 'stars above'-
About Ruby: Ruby is - there’s no other way to put this - a living tumor. A being made of pure chaos that split off from his infant twin sister when the power became too much for her body, he was hidden away in a laboratory deep below the Starfall Islands and used as a living battery. Ruby has always known that he has a twin. Parents. A family. But they abandoned him, and it doesn’t matter how sad his sister looks when she sees him. It doesn’t matter that she keeps trying to reach out. He’s getting his revenge no matter what.
About UV: Project Procyon was an operation where a clone was made from Sonic and Shadow’s daughter Dawn and its hedgehog and Black Arms genetics were split into separate entities, Ultraviolet “UV” the Hedgehog and Black Light.
With the maturity of a 7 year old and having spent the first few months of their life as an involuntary lab assistant, UV is a sweet and shockingly smart but deeply anxious kid with a pathological need to feel “useful”. They’ve had a deep dependency on their older sister since she rescued them, but struggle a lot with their own identity as her clone. What they lack in running speed and Chaos Powers, they make up for with the ability to turn into light and manipulate energy on the electromagnetic spectrum.
About Colbalt: Cobalt is a friendly, optimistic hedgehog who can be a bit cocky at times. As the daughter of Sonic, Shadow, and Silver, she's crazy fast, with telekinesis and chaos powers to boot. She was genetically engineered to be a weapon, though was recovered by Sonic and Shadow before she was old enough to be used as one, and got to grow up loved by all her fathers.
