As well as imitating human words, sirens are excellent singers. Their large lungs allow them to sing for long sessions. Each siren has a distinct voice, although females tend to be higher-pitched while the males have a deeper voice. They are often spotted perched on rocks singing by themselves or with other individuals. Thanks to their high intelligence, sirens can be taught human songs.
