Me too! So I made a discord server in the hopes we can build a place for more in-depth and nuanced conversations about the fictional characters and worlds that dizis bring to life.
Still a very small server, the rules are centered around keeping the conversations on the stories themselves, not slogging it out over who has the Right Opinion or what series is The Worst.
Featuring: • Favorite Dizi Roles! • Specific Dizi Forums for deep dives, episode discussions, and more! • Casting and other news for upcoming shows! • Weekly Ratings! • Fan creations channel to share and talk about fanart, gifs, icons, vids, fanfic, etc • A landing page to weed out any bots/spammers
Our dizi specific forums feature tone tags to help curate discussions like: • Critiques - neutral deep dives, nuanced takes, and thoughtfully mixed opinions welcome! • Raves - all love, only positive vibe posts! • Rants - fed up rants about the characters and/or storylines! (but not hate on real people or attacks on other fans)
RULES: • ADULTS ONLY: Many dizis have mature or heavy themes, so this will be an 18+ server. • NO SHIP WARS/CHARACTER/SERIES WARS: We all understand the passion that can come from loving or hating something. Share your opinions respectfully, and agreed to disagree if necessary. Don't continually hate on something you don't watch, please focus on what you do. Respect tone tags on forum posts if applicable, and don't continue to engage with someone if you can't both stay civil. • NO PARASOCIAL SPECULATION: The private lives, loves, and losses of actors/actresses is off limits here. Our focus in on fictional characters and relationships, not the real people bringing them to life. • NO PERSONAL ATTACKS on cast, crew, creatives, or other fans. Don't like, don't engage. • NO POLITICS OR BIGOTRY: We aim to be an international group inclusive of all fans, so we will keep the focus on the fiction we watching.
