Summary- The reader had been drinking with Peter and talks about the recent break up she had with Derek.

“I just don’t understand why..” I looked at Peter and the outside world was a bit fuzzy. I had been drinking for the past hour. Peter is helping me through my recent break up with his nephew, Derek Hale. We were at the bar together as I tried to drink the pain away. The more I drank the worse it got. I took another shot and looked into Peter’s eyes, “I understand that he stuff to deal with like; the pack, himself, you, and..” I started to cry, “ obviously… not… me.” Tears fell down my face as I spoke, Peter pulled me in for a hug, “Let’s go for a walk i don’t think you need anything else to drink.” Peter set down his drink that he had been babysitting for the past three hours we were there.
Peter walked me out of the bar, I was drunk and I was buzzed. “How can he be okay with just ignoring his girlfriend?” Peter ignored me, he clenched his jaw every time I mentioned Derek, even if I didn’t say his name. I grabbed Peter’s arm as we walked down the street, he tried to get my mind off of things. Cars drove by and crickets chirped as the night went on, “this town is so beautiful.” I looked around, “this is what I love about Beacon Hills, it's not a big city, it's just a town.” “Yeah it’s great, growing up here was a bit rough for my family being as we are well, werewolves.”
I looked at Peter as he spoke, Derek and him had very similar features. The half smile they both make when they talked about something or someone was the thing I loved or how their eyes light up when they got excited, it was the little things I noticed. We had been walking and talking for awhile.
I looked and seen the high school in the distance, “maybe we should take a break and sit down.” Peter agreed We walked to the nearest bench. I laid my head on Peter’s shoulder and I stared at the Beacon Hills High School sign. “It’s crazy how much time he made for me back in high school, why couldn’t it just be like our high school days when?” I started to cry as memories came back. “When we were young and dumb, we were always together, nothing could keep us apart. Even later, the pack never interfered.” I placed my hands over my face as Peter placed his hand on my back. “Everyone misses their high school days when they’re older, our teenage years are supposed to be our best years.” Peter placed his chin on the top of my head.
There was a small crack noise, like someone had stepped on a stick. My head turns and I looked out into the parking lot and seen him. I sat up and sighed. He was doing his nightly run. Peter looked at him as he looked at me. Derek took an earbud out and started to jog towards us. Peter hesitated, turning my head to face him and placed his hand under my chin. I looked into his eyes, it was all happening too fast. He kissed me quickly. I smiled in the kiss and gave in. Peter’s hand cupped my face as he deepened the kiss. Derek paused for a second. He stared at me and turned around. He was angry with me. So he turned around and he jogged into the woods.
I pulled away from Peter smiling.“That was amazing” I was breathing heavily and so was Peter. He smiled at me and chuckled. Peter looked around, “let me get you home it’s getting late.” We got off of the bench and walked to my house nearby. I sobered up more as we walked. We walked in silence for away before I spoke, “I’m glad you were able to get my mind off of things.” Peter looked at me, “I’m glad you’re okay.”
We made it to my house, “this is where I leave you.” I smiled and Peter hugged my goodbye and walked off. I went into my house kicking off my shoes. As I opened my door I jumped to see Derek standing in front of my bed with his arms crossed as an angry look on his face. “Derek you can’t just come into my house like that.” He uncrossed his arms and sighed, “well you think I was gonna let you go after what you did earlier?” I rolled my eyes, “it wasn’t even my idea, he did it on his own.” Derek got closer to me, his chest pressed against mine. He looked into my eyes and then my lips, he did this a few times. I licked my lips and he ran his thumb down my jaw. I backed away, but stopped as soon as Derek’s lips locked with mine. He deepened the kiss quickly, his tongue ran across my lip wanting an entrance. I bit his bottom lip softly. He pulled away, “I love you.” My eyes widened as he said those three words. I couldn’t speak. Derek stared at me. It took me a couple of seconds, “I love you too,”
Im calling out to all the why dont we fans, a good friend of mine started a wattpad book. The book is a why dont we smut book, she just started and only has one part done, but she is working on more. It would mean a lot to me and to her if u guys read it, showed love, and gave her some feedback!!
