Hi guys, I know it's been months but I didn't forget you all. I will finish this, though it might be a slow process. If possible though, please someone let me know if you got a notification from the master post that this has been added. If not, I'll go back and add all the tags but I'd like to avoid that if possible lol.
Stiles grins when Eli’s eyes sparkle over a stack of perfectly round pancakes loaded with mini chocolate chips and cinnamon swirls. The toddler beams at him from his high-chair before taking a dry pancake from the plate and chomping off a large bite. " ‘Tiles!"
"Not even going to wait for some syrup huh little dude?" Stiles asks fondly before hurrying to the fridge and getting some milk out. He’s not sure if choking is as much a hazard for werewolf babies as it is for human ones but he’s not taking a chance as he fills a small, plastic cup.
"He’s ravenous." Peter says happily. "He may even out-eat Boyd at this point."
Stiles hums, pulling a barstool closer to Eli’s side and moving the mountain of pancakes back onto the island to give the toddler a smaller, more manageable plate.
" ‘Tiles not sad no mo’ ?" Stiles smiles and shakes his head.
"No buddy. I’m fine. Sorry if I scared you." Stiles says and Eli pauses mid bite to reach an arm out for him. Stiles complies, pulling both toddler and pancake into his arms so Eli can sit on his lap to eat.
"It ok!"
"Are you sad?"
"I not ‘cared of uncle Pe-er. I didn’ know it was him." Stiles catches the way Peter’s face flickers in guilt before he turns his attention back to Eli.
"Me too." He says in reply. "Are you enjoying your pancakes?" Eli nods before lifting the last piece up to Stiles’ lips.
" ‘Tiles pan-cake. I made dem for you." Stiles laughs before taking the piece in his mouth.
"Thanks E. They’re delicious." Eli hums in agreement before turning to reach for another.
Derek is at their side a moment later, setting a coffee cup down in front of Stiles and brushing his fingers across the nape of his neck.
"Here. Drink something warm."
"You know I like coffee?"
"You said you add cinnamon to your coffee. I assumed. Cream and sugar?" Stiles nods and watches as Peter tosses another pancake into the air before depositing it onto a second mountainous pile next to the stovetop.
"So Stiles," the beta starts, peaking at him over his shoulder. "How long have you been courting my nephew?"
Derek lets out a growl of annoyance but Stiles isn’t deterred.
"Let’s see, it’s 4:15 now and I started flirting with him pretty much immediately, so… 12 hours and 15 minutes? Although, you kind of interrupted our first night together so I think next date-night should be on you." Peter lets out a surprised bark of a laugh.
"My dear, if you promise to stay around I’d pay for your wedding." Peter muses.
"Pass. You’re a little too flashy for my taste." Now Derek chuckles but Peter’s eyes are shinning in amusement when he finally turns to look him over fully.
"You aren’t at all like any of the humans I’m used to…I say this as a compliment."
"Hearing about the kind of humans you’re used to I’d say it’s a low bar, but thanks."
Eli bites down on his second pancake with a pleased sigh. "Drink some milk buddy." Stiles instructs and the toddler is only too happy to do so before holding the treat up for Stiles again.
" ‘Tiles hungy too?" He isn’t but the action is grounding so he takes another small bite and kisses the top of Eli’s head.
Peter is watching smugly from the stove, his arms crossed over his chest as Derek moves around him to add cream and sugar to Stiles' cup.
"Stop harassing him." The alpha warns.
"I’m not! I’m pleased as punch, if not a bit jealous. I’ve been out and about fighting off rival packs and feral harpies and you’ve been busy with a sparky young mate.—”
"We just met yesterday. This is all new to him. Don’t tease. And you’re the one who won’t keep his A-S-S home. You get no sympathy for the fights." Peter gives a practiced look of shock.
"You’re saying those were my fault?"
"I’m saying I can tell where you are by following the smell of trouble and bad decisions." Derek says with a stony look.
Eli giggles around another bite of pancake. " Uncle Pe-er alway poke da bear." He says, turning to Stiles and making a snarling face. "Rawr!" He mimics. Stiles looses it. He bursts out laughing, his arms wrapping around the toddler to keep him safe but he can’t stop the loud, unrestrained laughter that bubbles up his chest. Soon Eli is following along and then Derek and even Peter chuckles.
"Who would win E? Your uncle Peter or a bear?" Stiles asks lightly and Peter lets out an affronted sound.
"Bear!" Eli sings.
"Traitor." Peter grumbles before turning back to the 2 large platters overflowing with pancakes and placing them into the oven to keep warm.
"Even ‘Tiles won a-gainst Uncle-Pe-er." This time it’s Derek who doubles over in laughter and Peter gives the toddler a playful snarl."
"I was taken by surprise!" Peter argues.
"Ah yes. The supernaturally fast, strong, agile apex predator with night vision was taken by surprise from the human with one usable hand." Stiles grins, earning a flash of blue eyes.
"Which begs the question…" Peter says, suddenly turning serious. "How does a preschool teacher come about those skills?"
"I trained two years with the FBI." Stiles admits and watches as Peter’s body becomes eerily still.
"FBI?" He questions and Derek’s smile falls as Stiles nods. "I take it you aren’t working with them now?"
"I’m not a hunter." Stiles snaps because sure, that’s what it sounds like. A FBI member weaseling into a preschool to get close to the alpha's child. Because of course there were crooked agents just like there were crooked cops and it would make sense... Some law enforcement knowing about the supernatural, about some working with hunters. "I failed my test because of my panic attacks. I’m not a hunter and if you accuse me of being one one more time I'll stab your eye out next."
Peter holds his arms up in surrender. "I wasn’t accusing you. although you can forgive me for being wary. It’s not the first time my nephew was tricked by a pretty face." Stiles sees the flash of guilt pass over Derek’s face and Peter sends him a shrug. "I am not wrong."
"You’re not going to be much of anything if you keep it up." Stiles warns and now Eli is fidgeting unhappily.
"Is Uncle Pe-er bein mean?"
"No E. He’s just being a potty head." Eli hums in agreement before going back to his food. "I want to like you Peter but you make it increasingly difficult."
"I’ve been made aware." Peter says with a grin. "I’ll behave." He turns to rummage through the fridge. "I haven’t been threatened so much in my own pack house since Talia found out Derek and Laura got into my stash of wolfsbane laced whisky."
"So the bad decision making isn’t a recent problem?" Stiles asks. Peter smirks.
"Hardly. I was only surprised to see an agent turned preschool teacher. Though I suppose it does suit you. If I may say—as one who put you in a life and death situation—the FBI are idiots for letting you go." Stiles doesn’t know what to say to that, not sure how to take a compliment from this man so he turns to Derek instead who has settled to stand at his side, one hand around his own cup of coffee and the other tracing a line gently down stiles’ neck in a soothing gesture.
"He’s being sincere." Derek says helpfully. "Though he hasn’t told us all of the truth." Derek emphasizes, looking pointedly at Peter.
"All in due time dear nephew. I’m enjoying myself too much to lay all my cards down."
"I can force you." Derek reminds him bitterly.
"And take away my body autonomy? I hardly think you would." Derek growls dangerously. "Alright, I admit that one was a low blow." Peter says, waving his hand dismissively. "Where are the three stooges by the way? If I start the eggs now they’ll get cold."
"They stayed away so Eli would have an easier shift." Derek replies, his voice back to neutral and his hand laying heavily on Stiles’ shoulder. "I didn’t want to invite them over yet."
"You should." Stiles says before Peter can respond. "If you think Eli can handle it that is."
"But you—"
"I doubt any of your other betas are as extra as this guy." Stiles says, sweeping his hand over Peter. "Might as well get all the introductions out of the way since there’s no way I’m leaving E alone around this dude… No offense Peter."
Peter grins. "None taken."
Derek gives him a thankful look before reaching for his phone to text the betas. "I’ll tell them to come by. They were running an errand for me but that should be done by now."
"Errand? Those three? I hope it wasn’t an important one."
"As if you have proven any more capable?" Derek asks with a raised eyebrow.
"You wound me nephew."
"Tough." Derek says before shooting off a text and turning his full attention to lean down and rub his cheek against Eli’s forehead. "Can I have a bite Bug?"
Eli lets out a pleased whine, nuzzling back and holding up a half-eaten pancake. Derek takes a bite and gently rips the whole thing out of Eli’s hand, earning a grumble of protest.
"Animals." Peter jokes. "I’ll start the bacon first. Save some room Eli."
"He’s like a bottomless pit. I doubt it will be a struggle." Stiles says fondly.
"It’s expected. He’s matabolism is probably working at 3x its normal rate because he’s so late on his shift. And the moon is still out for another hour or so."
"Do you know why his shift was so late?" And this time Peter doesn’t bother to hide the sadden look.
"I have a theory…"
Derek’s tilts his head curiously and Peter gives Eli a quick look before regarding Stiles.
"I assume his body was working mistletoe out of its system."
"What!?" Derek and Stiles asks together.
"But mistletoe is—"
"Poisonous to us. Yes. It’s also poisonous to humans which is probably why K-A-T-E wasn’t able to judge the correct dosage to terminate the pregnancy. She was too afraid of overdosing herself. Whatever she did take was probably enough to have weekend him and surpress his powers.
" It didn’t K-I-L-L him but it’s probably only because he was using all his strength to try and work the poison through his system. We were always confused as to how he had our appetite when he didn’t seem to gain anything else. It’s because his body was working on healing himself continuously…
"Depending on how much and how often she took it, it means he could have been developing in her womb while being exposed to small doses of it for months. I'd also bet money on her continuing to feed it to him after he was born. Either to destroy any chances of him turning or testing to see if it affected him. Either way, it seems he’s been able to finally filter it fully out of himself."
Derek’s entire body is shaking with restraint and Stiles feels the beginning of a second panic attack when Peter makes a warning gesture. "Stop it, both of you. You’ll upset him! And I’m not certain that’s what it was. It’s all speculation."
"But if you were a betting man?" Stiles asks, already knowing what Peter would say. Because Peter thinks he’s right and Stiles thinks he’s right because it makes sense. It all makes sense. And he’s going to go find Kate and rip her throat out his goddamn self when the sound of the doorbell makes all three adults jump in surprise.
"Are you expecting anyone?" Peter demands, eyes beginning to glow that stark electric blue.
"Just the betas. They wouldn’t use the bell though." Derek says. "I hear 4 heartbeats…" Peter is suddenly at Stiles’ side, pulling him up to stand. Nothing is said but there is a silent look of agreement passed between both wolves as human and toddler are herded back. Peter takes a protective stance before them, growling and shielding the two from view.
Stiles can barely see Derek over Peter's shoulder as he moves to open the door. He can’t make out who's in front of the alpha but Peter does stop with his snarling and then Stiles hears a familiar voice—
"—these three hooligans claim that you’re their guardian? Is that correct?"
Derek’s voice follows after. "Unfortunately sir. I’m sorry, have they caused you some sort of trouble?"
"Dad?" Stiles asks, causing Peter to turn to him in surprise.
"Dad?"
"Well nothing entirely illegal, unless you call stalking a police officer on duty a crime. Which I do."
Before Derek can respond Stiles arms passed the beta, taking a few long strides until he's at Derek's side. There's a group of three older teens standing in the entryway, heads bowed and eyes guiltily looking down at the floor as Noah chastises them.
"Dad!?" Stiles repeats, cutting his father off mid lecture and causing all faces to turn to him in disbelief.
"Stiles?" Noah asks in confusion. "Wait, this is the Derek Hale from your phone call?" Stiles nods, grinning as the alpha and betas all stare at them wide-eyed.
"Is this how you justify checking up on my date?" Stiles teases with a shake of his head. "Arresting a group of teens? Really dad? It's like prom night all over again."
"Should have known any trouble I have would start with you." Noah says playfully back, laughing as he takes the group in. He's still wearing his officer's uniform, the sheriff's star shining as he steps forward to hug his son. And Stiles moves to embrace him, about to ask what all this is about when Eli sniffs at the air and his face perks up, fangs and claws dropping and eyes glowing bright yellow as he lets out an excited and giddy
Derek and Peter's age timeline makes absolutely no sense ,like what do you mean Derek went from 19 in season 1 to like 40 something in the movie?
The Hale fire timeline is also so messy cos Stiles says it happened 10 years back(s1) ,while Peter says 6 years to Cora(s3), Paige dies 10 years back but the fire happens after her death like what is going on?
Derek is said to be like 15/16 when the fire happens(s4), and then he leaves town for a few years and is back when he is said to be few years older and it's stated that he's 19.
Given that barely any time passes between s1 and 2, Derek's age is the same or is at most 20 by the end of s2.
But then in s3 he's in a relationship with Jennifer who's supposed to be in her late 20s/ early 30s, because Sheriff Stillinski says the Julia Baccardi case happened 10 years back(she was an adult then cos shes Kalis emissary) while Derek is around 15/16, which was before the fire , so is Derek 25 now ?
Peter is supposed to be few years older than Derek cos he and Derek were close when Derek is in HS, and then in the midst of all this , Peter has a kid who's 16?
So at what age did he even have Malia if Derek and Peter were so close when younger?
Like honestly, the Hale chronological timelines are a mess and its pretty evident that the writers / Jeff never really thought about this properly.
Stiles lets Peter get closer. only because he needs to feel some kind of warmth to feel human. if Peter is getting any closer than necessary - his arm just inches from his. skin on skin in an electric sensation that makes Stiles shiver from head to toe. - he doesn't comment.
(I apologize in advance for my English, I am not a native speaker)
Imagine, just imagine Liam and Peter, okay? (not a ship omg tf are you thinking about)
What if because of a spell or cause i said so they were transported to another univers where there is no Scott and Stiles? They have no idea what happened and what is going on in this world but have to figure it out. Their versions from this universe have disappeared, so Liam and Peter have no one but each other. They have to work together and Peter even tries but Liam doesn't trust him and is scared of him.
Liam separates from Peter and goes his own way and unexpectedly finds Theo. Theo is just a boy who lives with his not really loving family and is not a werewolf. But he's also about to die because of his heart problems or something like that idk. Liam remembers Theo from his universe. Remember how he changed and disappeared in one moment without a word. So Liam tries to get to know this Theo. He's not Theo he knew but he wants to save him. Make him a werewolf. But he can't do that cause he is not an alpha so he needs Peter's help. Peter is not an alpha too but he could be, so they have to work together again.

(I don't know if they'll come back or not. Don't know if Liam gonna fall in love with this Theo, but I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS IDEA TOO LONG)
