Another (not so) speed paint, this time I tried a hybrid of based off a reference and then freestyle.  Kylo looks a little weird here (as we all know he’s got a very special face and the ref. model really didn’t look much like him).  His gloves were an epic pain to try and make look even semi decent but it was important for the scene because this is definitely a Kylo not Ben moment, lol

When we contacted the wonderful @nemling for a commission (go check out her commission masterpost!!), we had the vague idea of “Reylo and Finn/Rose go on a double date,” and from that she created this absolute masterpiece. It’s the kind of picture that you look at and you just immediately start thinking about the story behind it, so I couldn’t resist writing a companion fic to go along with it.

How the four of them had been chosen for this mission is still a bit of a mystery to Rey, though she’s pretty sure it had to do with the fact that they were the ones who fit best into the random collection of formalwear the alliance had on their base.
