I’ve had this headcanon since chapter 5 because of the angst potential that it had, but I didn’t realize it would actually come true

But seriously though— Lyria being an Erolis is just so thematically perfect when it comes to Dreadbane’s relationships. An Erolis arcane is responsible for two of Andros’s most important moments in his story.

One created an extension of his life (Aemiria), and the other took his away

🔥 I HAVE RETURNED AT LAST 🔥

Gonna be fully honest here, after being disappointed by bolas 3 and with the rising use of trashy ai by pixelberry, I had lost my spark.

There was no inspiration or interest in me to make content like before with my edits of Myra and Aerin. And while they will always hold a special place in my heart, I don’t think I can go back to how the way things were before.

So to sum things up (and to avoid making this post too long), I’m going to do a rebrand of this blog to focus more on content that I’m actually passionate about. Right now I’m a really big fan of The Thunderstorms Saga from Romance Club, and I’m also looking forward to the release of Candlelight Games new app Love & Magic, so you’ll definitely be seeing posts about that in the coming days.

Anyway… I dunno if anyone will actually read this or not, but for those of you who follow me or know me from the choices fandom— thank you. I’ve never felt more connected to a community than I have since joining tumblr.

I can’t wait to see what comes next here 💜

THE NERDS:

Obviously I gotta put my husband Aerin here first, but I also have a deep appreciation for nerdy boys who seem abrasive and lowkey rude at first before becoming the most romantic, sickly sweet, down bad love interests to ever grace Pixelberry’s mainframe. And I will not be hearing any argument about Ernest being on this list because he is literally the Choices version of Mr. Darcy and that in itself is a subsection of nerd in my mind.

MEN WHO YEARN ARE MEN WHO EARN

THE FORBIDDEN LOVERS:

Nowadays forbidden love is sometimes used to describe an affair story or questionable age gaps, but for me it means Romeo & Juliet, a princess and her knight, two warriors on the opposite sides of a war, lovers who cannot bear the thought of being apart from one another even if it means risking their own lives.

Yeah I don’t have any poetry ready for this category, I’m just a sucker for overly-cocky and smartass men in leather jackets who got a soft spot for their girlfriend who is the embodiment of sunshine. The corny bad boys on wattad walked so these fine ass men could RUNNNNN

THE SWEETHEARTS:

While I don’t choose these love interests as often as the others, they still hold a special place in my heart when it comes to replaying these older series. I know picking the sweetheart li can sometimes be called the “safe” or “boring” choice but that doesn’t make them any less wonderful or inspiring. In a world where people can often be hurtful or toxic it’s nice to experience love in one of its purest forms.

In other words…. YOUR HONOR, I LOVE THEM

This edit was inspired by your Fantastic Beasts fic and shows what Alexis and Nik would look like if they attended Penderghast. I tried to incorporate elements of the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw house colors as per your headcannon.

I also took a few creative liberties by making Alexis a Fire-Att 🔥 and Nik a Metal-Att ⚙️

What's your and Myra's favorite thing about Aerin? 😘

Oh I love this question!

Through the course of book 1 and book 2 Myra fell in love with Aerin twice, so I guess she has two favorite things about him.

The first time was in the Deadwood when they shared their first kiss at the lake. Myra admired how Aerin saved the unicorn and his gentleness toward everything he touched. Coming from a small town like Riverbend, she never got to meet many people her age, so it was astonishing how this prince with so much privilege and wealth could be so humble and kind to someone like her. She fell in love with his heart ❤️

The second time was also in the Deadwood when they had their second kiss after saving the goblins from the shadow realm. It was difficult at first for Myra to get used to the new Aerin when they “reunited” in his prison cell, but she slowly began to care for that version of him as well. Sure he might be snarky and defensive with the rest of the party, but he was also clever, witty, and funny. He might not have been the same sensitive prince that she first fell in love with, but Myra still found herself loving the real Aerin, rough edges and all. She fell in love with that brilliant mind of his 💚
