Any story which refers to Haiti as an impoverished nation, which is all of them, should also mention that when Haitians won their independence from France, French gunships showed up and demanded they pay something like 22 billion dollars in today's money to compensate France for the stolen land and enslaved people they could no longer exploit

It took Haiti over a hundred years to pay that ransom and it's difficult to explain just how badly that fucked up their entire development, especially since France also demanded a 50% discount on everything they bought from Haiti just to make it harder. Like! No wonder they're impoverished!

Anyway if France would like to assist Haiti in its current difficulties they could always pay back the fucking money they extorted

Also not having a job anymore will defo help with the random bouts of dysphoria I feel at times. It's kinda weird because it's not based on my body at all since I like it and don't gender any of my body parts. It's only related to how I'm perceived. And having to only wear women's clothing at work was killing me sometimes, esp around pms. Like I know some would tell me that I wear skirts and dresses all the time so that's paradoxical but not to me. I'm also very clearly alt, I'm goth, I wear lolita, and those are necessarily linked with gender fuckery (to put it simply). Plus, in my mind I'm living my little fantasy like I'm some character or whatever and none of it is gendered to me

Like I guess I'm feeling more of a social dysphoria type thing. One of the many reasons why I need to start customizing my presets (and it'd look super cool)
