What pronouns do you use in French? I'm rather fond of iel but people have also been telling me about ol.
I use ael, it's closer-ish to iel so it's not too out there while still feeling like me. I like iel but it's still a mix of elle and il, the feminine and masculine pronouns, and as I put myself outside of that box entirely I want to use something else. I do like ol too. The issue is just getting people to gender me correctly and to use my correct pronouns, which almost never happens haha. I think both my gf and I have given up on being fully gendered correctly haha, even if they pass more for a gnc woman. We tend to use the masculine when speaking though, and usually gender each other pretty freely which is fun

speaking of crosses, my gf has a wooden cross in their room, it's their mom that put it there because there was "bad energy" in the room or something
crucifix my mom and my sister got me while they were on a trip, so you know what that means, it's time to frankenstein it on a rosary I already have

free my girl she did all that and that’s what makes her such a compellingly complex character. that’s her essence
A bus may have only a couple of passengers, especially at the beginning or end of its route. But let's also take fuel efficiency into account.
If there's one person on a bus because that person cannot or doesn't want to drive, the bus is succeeding.
I read a study once on the fuel efficiency of various types of commuter vehicles (car, bus, train) on a per person basis and the number of people needed riding public transit to match the "efficiency" of cars is shockingly low. A bus needs to carry like 3-4 people to be fuel efficient, and trains require 2-3 per train car. Both often carry two dozen or more during peak hours, more than justifying any perceived requirements for efficiency for the train or bus to provide service the entire day.
two spirit is not a "native version" of anything
its not a "native version of nonbinary" or a "native version of bigender"
thats not what it means, that’s not what it’s ever meant
two spirit is an pan-tribal term coined by indigenous people in 1990, for indigenous people, to replace the term berdache, an offensive term that white settlers applied to indigenous people that fell outside of the western lens of gender and sexuality
two spirit isnt a "native version of nonbinary" because two spirit doesnt inherently mean someone is nonbinary. some of us are, but so many two spirited people arent. many people in our community also choose specifically not to label themselves with terms like nonbinary, gay, bisexual, etc, and solely use two spirit or another term from their tribe or language
we can be anything and everything and nothing you've ever imagined
to say its a "native version of nonbinary" is not just inaccurate, it's a complete erasure of a massive part of our community
we really, really should. 🚬
