Dorcas nodded. “Well, yes, everyone does, but he seems to like it even more. Like, it’s almost like he gets off on it, you know.” She scrunched up her face. “Gross. And well, I’ll do it if you bring records, yeah? And a turntable, as everything muggle music related I own is at home.”
At his words, she frowned, a small hint of guilt soaring through her body. “Oh, I’m sorry Tilden. And I’m sure someone will.” There was a slight pause. “You can owl me, or something, if you want. I mean, you gotta keep in touch with your friends, otherwise you’ll go nuts. Okay?”
Tilden waved his hand. "Oh, don't worry! I-I've already set my eyes on a few records I think I might like. And you guys too!" The boy smiled, proud of himself, but still sheepishly. "I don't have a spare turntable though." He lowered his eyes. "But maybe Professor Slughorn has one at his office!"
"Oh, it's fine, don't worry!" He quickly said when he noticed her frown. "I like it in here, besides I've never spent Christmas here, I'm excited." He said, not wanting to make the girl feel bad about the whole thing. "But I'd love to owl you!" A big smile appeared on his face, the mention of them being friends made Tilden extremely happy. "Do wait for an owl from me."
