St. Vincentās new self titled album has a more abrasive sound to it with strong hooks with tracks like āBirth in Reverseā, āDigital Witnessā, and āRattlesnakeā. While other tracks have very calm sounding vocals from lead singer/writer/guitarist Annie Clark and soothing synthesizers, they also contain very heavy fuzzed out guitars great energy and dynamics . While much of the album has the familiar sound St. Vincent has developed in her last few albums, āDigital Witnessā shows itās influences from her recent collaboration with David Byrne, which is done very nicely. Overall, St. Vincent releases another very solid album with sharp writing, interesting instrumentation, and very well delivered vocals from Ms. Clark
