sorry for the late wrap-up but at least i'm still reading! 8 books woot woot 🎉 the books are shorter and taking longer to read, but i’m still taking a little bit of time to read most days and that's a good thing for me because reading is my me time 🥰

2025 award winner: All the Painted Stars by Emma Denny, the Romantic Novelists Association (RNA) Popular Romantic Fiction winner, a lady pretends to be a knight to save her friend from an arranged marriage, then they fall in love; it's the 2nd in a queer historical romance series, very cute, ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

college or uni setting: God of Malice by Rina Kent, college dark romance, 1st in a series, i don't know why but like the foxhole court, this was a quick and crazy read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

historical fantasy: The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton, proper english lady pirates with magical flying houses as their pirate ships, part adventure, part romance, another series starter, another fun read ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

i really liked all of these books and will probably read more of them, i'm such a mood reader i don't know when i will, but i will try! 👍

StoryGraph Wrap-Up April 2026

9 books this month woot woot 🎉

it’s taking me a lot longer to finish books lately, not gonna lie. for audiobooks it’s understandable, i’m not driving alone as much as i used to, but for physical and ebooks, eh 🤷‍♀️ maybe it’s the books? romance just isn’t hitting right now, and i like the sci-fi/fantasy when i’m actually reading, but i just don’t feel like picking up a book, i’d rather be on tumblr or watching YouTube or playing a phone game. also, the current work project is time consuming, it’s just hard to focus right now 😔

anywayz! i’ve been going to the local library and it’s awesome! my hold for the last middle school princess diaries book came in and it was so cute! and i started Hank Green’s the Carls series, so i need to finish that because it’s going to be due soon. the library's comic/manga/graphic novel section isn’t great, but i did get George Takai’s They Called Us Enemy and it’s so good, i’m hoping to purchase it and It Rhymes with Takai at Comic-Con this year

as much as i love the StoryGraph and it’s stats, i got bored and dl’d fable and Pagebound, fable because of the booktubers that have fable book clubs and Pagebound because it looks like StoryGraph and fable’s pastel hippie love child, i think I’ll try to keep all three going, but we’ll see 🤔
