hey, there's been another massive fucking recall on thousands of products in Indiana, North Dakota, and Minnesota due to rodent and bird shit.

It's literally easier to list the stores where the items were distributed. Here's a partial list of recalled items:

Beverages: Diet Coke, Sprite, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Arizona Iced Tea, Gatorade, Red Bull, Snapple, Canada Dry

Candy: Hershey’s, Reese’s, Kit Kat, Snickers, M&M’s, Skittles, Starburst, Sour Patch Kids, Haribo, Swedish Fish, Jolly Rancher, Mike and Ike

Salty snacks: Pringles, Takis, Chex Mix

Pantry staples: Cheerios, Quaker, Chef Boyardee, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Ragu, Heinz, Hunt’s

Medications: Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Excedrin, Pepto-Bismol, Benadryl, NyQuil, DayQuil, Tums

Personal care: Colgate, Crest, Vaseline, Always, Tampax, Trojan, Dove, Axe

Pet food: Purina, Friskies, Meow Mix, Fancy Feast

The FDA is urging customers to destroy any of the affected products they have right away. Gold Star will also provide refunds, and you can call the company at 612-617-9800.

this one is pretty clever

basically

you get DMed by a hacked member of your friends list

they say someone with the same username and avatar as you sent someone inappropriate pictures

they invite you to join a server to see the accusations and defend yourself

they say that they cannot risk having a creep on their friends list until you defend yourself

they block you so you feel pressured to join the server to defend yourself

if you join the server it tries to get you to scan the QR code to log in, which hands over complete access to your account

never scan QR codes on discord. do not join these servers. do not put the rest of your friends list in danger.

Novel written by an author and published through a regular publishing house? BORROW FROM A LIBRARY or buy outright. Do not pirate. The sales/borrow numbers OUTRIGHT determines pay to the author, whether their next book gets greenlit or cancelled, etc.

Please, please, PLEASE, reblog this. i don’t know if I did save or called false alarm, with my boss’ life tonight. I felt I was being a bit paranoid, overreacting, but I told Mirage my thoughts and he, after reading over the article I showed him, immediately sprung into action and then shooed her off to the hospital. I don’t know if I did or not, but I knew she’d been super stressed. She’d off-handedly commented on her arm tingling and I asked her if she felt queasy on a hunch. I went to look at the symptoms and we went from there.

Holy shit, I didn’t even think the symptoms would be different between men and women. This is so hugely important and I don’t understand why we aren’t taught this.

One of the other symptoms that doesn’t get talked about , especially in women, is a “feeling of impending doom”. I am not even kidding, that is a legitimate diagnostic criteria. Please - if you are feeling any of these symptoms and a sudden onset of “Holy shit the world is ending” do not let anyone tell you it’s “just nerves” or “just heartburn” or something.

Keep these in mind ESPECIALLY IF YOU’VE GOT HEART DISEASE IN YOUR FAMILY!  So many more women die from heart attacks than because they don’t recognize the symptoms when they’re so different. Please stay safe and stay informed.

Sex differences in diagnostics are pretty much never sharp cut-offs. The stereotypical “male” symptoms are more common for men, and the stereotypical “female” symptoms are more common for women – and yes, treating the stereotypical “male” symptoms as universal has absolutely lead to women being less likely to know when they need medical help.

But these things tend to go like bell curves, and so even if you’re a cis man, and you think that none of this applies to your own health – if you ever suddenly start experiencing stereotypical “female” heart attack symptoms? Go to a fucking doctor.

These symptoms show up more often in heart attacks for women, but they also just shouldn’t be ignored, by anyone, ever.

Overdrive has a new mobile app called LIBBY I find it easier to use.  It’s the same content as Overdrive just better for mobile.  Overdrive and Libby both let you send items to your kindle as well.

I use it not only for ebooks, but movies as well.

Libraries are GREAT.

Also, when you borrow a book from a library, it generates a tiny payment for the author. Every 6 months or so, @dduane and I get money deposited in our bank accounts; it’s not much, but it’s enough to pay for a utility bill or an order of groceries.
