Dear R,

im sorry this took me so long to say.

i was attacked tonight.

i got away but i don't know what to do now.  

i was so sure i was about to die

i was on my feet one second.

he was distracted for a second.

I got away.

I'm safe.

that's all that matters.

He scratched at me

when I tried to go.

He ripped my dress.

He tore lines down my arm.

Like breadcrumbs in reverse.

i was so close to getting killed today.

i feel sick

i cant feel my fingers

I used to have friends. One day some of them disappeared.

I never saw any of the other girls after that day.

we take some effort to get a real smile growing.

we persist like weeds growing up through sidewalk cracks

snide through the broken system

we reflect one another. i see you. we see each other. we keep on moving. there's no place safe for us to gather anymore.

imagine a day when we could sit down and talk and smile and laugh like old friends. nothing to do, nowhere better to go, just each others company to keep us happy.

imagine how far we could spread, the seeds of happiness we could plant each day, if we were given a full field to dream in, to live in, to laugh and play in

shining like gold fire reflecting the suns warmth and always keeping warm. such summer love.

i could never tire of your constant company. you're mine already and there's no use in trying to resist that magnetic flow towards you.

this is my writing process!

I wait for streams of gold to run across my stream of consciousness

trying to trace the sand footprints that were left, along the shores of the right path

follow the route again deeper into spring green forests

yellow light streams at the end of the timber

the light is not a tunnel but a wall built with the golden blocks

pillars of light illuminate the path to the right way and then you can move on

tending to the earthly tasks before you

look down to the dirty path

the rough ground in front of you

a scrawl upon the earth

there's a dead mouse to the side so don't go there

move desperate through the writing process and record your observations

now slipping through mud -your feet are bathing in it -no time to spare

follow the path that leads back to the light

look for that spark of thought you saw at the beginning

try to recapture the feeling before you decide to think again

look down to your work

and plus you have to go back retrace your steps
