On January 22, 1973 the Supreme Court ruled that abortion is a right that may not be infringed. Since then, more than 55 million babies have been aborted. The "Day of Tears" is a national day of mourning recognizing the lives lost and their value. You can participate by lowering your flag in remembrance and talking about this very important issue.
2015 was a pro-life year in Arkansas! Three major measures passed: The Abortion Inducing Drugs Safety Act, The Abortion Parental Involvement Act, and The Woman's Right to Know Act. All three protected women by ensuring abortion providers followed FDA guidelines for drug usage, ensured parents were involved with their children's decisions, and ensures women are informed before getting an abortion. Measures like these have failed in many states, but Arkansas passes! #lawsforlife
In 2011, the CDC reported that 77% of abortions were performed on African-American and Hispanic women. Couple this with the truth about Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and what she said about population control. She even spoke at meetings of the KKK. If you read any of her works, you can easily determine that she was a racist who wanted to use abortion as a means of controlling population growth in minority communities. #tellthemthetruth (http://www.lifenews.com/2015/02/23/7-shocking-quotes-from-planned-parenthood-founder-margaret-sanger/)
In 2006, Planned Parenthood reported only one adoption referral for every 180 abortions. The truth is, Planned Parenthood does not prioritize adoption services. Out of 10 Million patient services they provided, only 2,000 were adoption services. This is their own reporting, in their own words. The women of America deserve to know the truth about abortion and about other life affirming services. (https://www.plannedparenthood.org/files/4013/9611/7243/Planned_Parenthood_Services.pdf)
Planned Parenthood receives $538 Million in YOUR tax dollars. This is a private organization, not a government agency. What could your local pregnancy support center do with this money? Why don't they get these same tax dollars? Why aren't we demanding that our tax dollars stop funding Planned Parenthood? #tellthemthetruth
A mother's sacrifice begins when she carries her baby inside the womb, giving it life. Those 9 months are not easy ones---morning sickness, being worried about the health of the baby, sleepless nights, etc. She is sacrificing herself.
Adoption is a solution to an unplanned pregnancy. There are many organizations that will help you to have a confidential pregnancy and adoption. Abortion is not the solution that empowers women. #tellthemthetruth
Don't be fooled. Abortion hurts. Spread healing and hope by reaching out to those affected by abortion. #tellwomenthetruth #dayoftearsjan22
A tiny human life is created with the help of modern medicine. This helps so many families that otherwise could not conceive; however, the dark side of fertility treatments is "selective reduction", or abortion of a multiple to reduce the amount of babies in the womb. This "selective reduction" has become a common practice for fertility specialists. Let's stop selective reduction practices and save them all. #Savethemultiples #SavethemALL
The "Day of Tears" is about mourning the babies whose fates were determined by legalized abortion. We mourn for the mothers who lost hope, gave up on trusting others and themselves, and who were hurting too much to persevere. Let's give love to the hurting mother. #loveforthemother #DayofTearsJan22
Ten ways to help a mother facing an unplanned pregnancy: 1.) Be a listening ear. No judgement. 2.) Offer to care for younger children (if applicable) so she can rest 3.) Buy her some diapers, wipes, or other necessities 4.) Pray with her and for her 5.) Host a baby shower in her honor and celebrate life! 6.) Guide her to a local pregnancy support center if she needs a mentor, wants to take a parenting course, or needs other supports 7.) Take her to lunch or make her family a meal. Every woman likes to feel special. 8.) Check in on her often to offer a helping hand 9.) If she opts for adoption, be supportive, loving, and caring. Adoption is a beautiful choice. 10.) Love the dad too! Be encouraging and supportive. #loveforthemother #DayofTearsJan22
Love begins with a helping hand. There are various ways you can reach out and help mothers in your community who have an unplanned pregnancy. You can volunteer at your local pregnancy support center, buy them a gift, or share a cup of tea and provide a good listening ear. It's faith, hope, and love working together to support the mother. #loveforthemother #DayofTearsJan22
Be her Valentine by persuading her to love life through your acts of kindness. #loveforthemother #DayofTearsJan22
