i had an idea for a counterpart of the rashomon throne piece i did a few months ago, right before irl Dazai’s death anniversary…so here it is lol

i hope you guys like it!

my insecure dumbass is worried i didnt convey it well enough so here’s the concept behind the art kskdkskd the idea was that aku went berserk after discovering dazai had died and assimilating the clothing on him as part of rashomon

A piece I did for the BSD artbook project, 文学の美学 (Bungaku no Bigaku / Aesthetics of Literature), featuring Akutagawa and Dazai!

The theme surrounding the piece was heavily based on one of irl Akutagawa’s short story, “The Spider’s Thread”. I also decided to go for a storybook-like layout by splitting the piece in the middle and making the quotes blend into the art.
