Can I use super glue instead of nail glue? You discover you have torn a nail and don't have any nail glue. You can certainly use Super Glue for repairs, just not for coating before attaching fake fingernails. There are also a few precautions to take to prevent gluing your fingers together. Do not use any purchased from a hardware or home improvement store intended for use by contractors with heavy materials such as wood and metal. The ingredients will not act the same way and you could end up damaging your fingernails. WARNING- It is very important that you never allow your skin to come into contact with Super Glue. You will end up losing your top layer of skin once you pull the glued fingers apart from each other. Super Glue dries very quickly and a bond is created as soon as it makes contact with whatever is placed on it. And remember: DO NOT USE SUPER GLUE TO ATTACH FAKE NAILS!
