I would like to thank each and every person that made this soundtrack happen. All of my teachers that have inspired me and formed me into the women I am today. My forever friends Carmen, Sophia, Shelby, Nolan, Mike- you made my senior year unforgettable, and I can never thank you enough for that. One last shout out to my people- Mom, Dad, and Christina, you all have taught me most of what I know, thank you for always being there for me, and showing me constant support throughout the years.
The nights leading up to the first day of our Senior year were full of tremendous emotion. At one of our late night parties we had with all of our friends, the song “All My Friends” by Snakehips played. This was the perfect song to begin our Senior year. Hearing the song made all of us come together and sing at the top of our lungs with joy and excitement. The song made us all feel so happy. Even though the lyrics do not express a happy moment, the beat and the sound of multiple people singing gave off a different vibe that night. The catchy chorus that had everyone singing “all my friends are wasted” made this song our go-to song for senior year. This song will always remind me of being at that late night party enjoying the time that we had left with each other before everyone went in their different directions.
first day of senior year
Friday night lights were some of my fondest memories from Senior year. Every Friday night my friends and I would go to Raider Valley at least 2 hours before the football game to get ready by painting the raider boys. As we would wait in the stands for the game to start, “Walk It Talk It” would come on. It was the song that got everyone pumped up for the game. The beat of the song made everyone jump up and down, and shake their heads in every direction. This song would be played continuously throughout the game to keep the players and fans hyped. Every time I hear this song I will always remember the best time I had on Friday nights cheering for my Raiders. Â
Cheering for the Raiders!
now, I remember all too well/just how it feels to be all alone/you feel like you'd give anything/for just a little place you can call your own

I discovered this song on a chill fall night. My friend and I went out to her backyard to build a bonfire. It was a beautiful evening, the leaves were starting to fall off the trees and the temperature was dropping. Thankfully it was not freezing yet. I had my phone on Spotify shuffle and this song came on. It was a sad song that got the both of us in our mellow mood. The song did not make me sad, it made me comfortable and relaxed. The softness of the song made me feel cozy.
Since that evening I have added this song to my “Chill” playlist and listen to it very often. Normally I play it on a Sunday morning, or when I am studying and trying to focus. Sometimes it feels like I get emotional when listening to it, but other times I feel at peace.
My sister, Christina, and I were trapped in my house during one memorable winter break because it was snowing out. We were bored out of our minds- we binge watched Netflix, ate a ton of food, and slept. While we were sitting in the living room she turned on “Bad Things.” She always knew the perfect songs for me. I immediately loved it as much as she did. We turned up all of the speakers in our house so we could feel the house shake. We danced around to it on repeat, acting like fools. When I hear the song now I always laugh about the memories we had made that snowy day.
Thank You
Thanks Christina for knowing my music taste better than I do!
My Senior prom was an unforgettable weekend. Prom started off with a picture party in Atlanta Country Club. It was a beautiful Saturday and the pictures sure did turn out beautiful. Although, the excitement did not start until we got on our oversized party bus. This bus held 58 teenagers on our way to our last high school prom. This song became the theme song of our group’s prom. On the bus we had it on so loud I could feel my body vibrating to the bass, everyone was singing, dancing on the benches, and we were all having the time of our lives. After the dance, our group rented a huge lake house on Lake Oconee for the weekend. We all gathered in the basement and stayed awake for hours dancing and living life like it was our last party. This song had everyone in the room smiling no matter what that person was feeling, because we had all made the best memories that weekend.
Senior Prom
Senior year spring break was one for the books. Practically the entire senior class traveled down to Destin, Florida to spend the week. Normally on a break people like to get away and not see the same people we always see, but in Destin we were all there intentionally to be together. Every night we would all come together at someone’s rental house. One night someone played the “Pursuit of Happiness” remix and after that it become the famous song of the week. The electronic song was played on repeat all week, everyone dancing around and punching the air with our fist as we jump up and down. These memories of my best friends during the happiest days we had on our last spring break together will always come flooding back to my head when I hear this song.
we've come a long way from where we began/oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

During the last few days before graduation this song became an important part of our last days together as the Class of 2018. The lyrics say it all “we’ve come a long way from where we began.” Hearing this song reminds me of the moments right before we all walked across the stage to grab our diplomas to end our Senior year. The chorus sang this song as our chosen class song before we walked to get our diplomas. Now when I hear this song it reminds me of one of the most exciting moments I have had in my life so far- graduating high school.
