“If you buy out the shop, that just means we get to close early. Not the biggest punishment in the world, eh?” Dimitri pauses and flusters a little. Is the fact that they’ve yet to sleep that obvious? Oh dear. “I mean—sure, why not? My day off is tomorrow anyways.” 

Dimitri grabs a bag and fills it up with the delicious pastries. It’s probably a little too full, but from the way this man looked at them, this man likes his sweets. “Ah…I’m Dimitri, by the way. Where is your shop located?” He heads over to the cash register and gives him a pleasant smile. 

   The Count chuckles and offers a kind smile. The poor baker looked exhausted, the poor man didn’t deserve this fate and the Count can never stop himself from offering help to those that truly needed it (perhaps in some odd ways). “Lovely timing on my part then, hm?”

   The Count shifts and offers just a little too much money to pay for his confections (and terrible habit). “It’s the extremely ornate building in Chinatown, if you get lost don’t be afraid to ask other’s for help, but it tends to be hard to miss.” He chuckles a bit, his free hand covering his mouth just a little.  “I am Count D, but many just call me D.”

       Usually, he spent almost all of his time either working inside the store to maintain the animals or painting in his apartment, but today was one of the few times he’d been forced to take the day off without any prior warning. Taewook found himself wandering the streets, not even bothering to hide the unusual black sclera or red irises of his eyes, and he paused in his dazed steps as he took note of an unusual man and the birds around him.

       —— “I have something they’d like.”

       Without a second thought, the elf grew closer, producing from his pocket a small baggie visibly filled with fresh fruit, and he happily poured half of the contents into his hand before holding it out towards the other. “Crows and pigeons love fruit, don’t they?” A laugh escapes him, and he offers a bright smile.

   There’s a hum as the count looks over, almost chuckling at them. “Ah, thank you. They absolutely would, but what about you?” He glances back to the bird on his hand, scratching under their chin. “It is your food, I’d hate to take something from you without you having anything left for yourself.”  

   The count truly didn’t care, it was more a matter of principal. Being kind was necessary in his line of work, especially with someone who happened to be quite interesting.

  The Count often stepped outside of his shop for weekdays, not for long but a few hours. Traditional clothing carefully treated as he wanders around, oddly uncaring for his surroundings. A few birds flew or hopped around him, calling to him and he merely smiled, holding out his hand for one to land on. These were merely crows and pigeons, kind birds he enjoyed talking to while out and about. 

   “I have no food today, apologies. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll remember?”

                                   They feel so odd in here, feeling something prickle up their spine as he speaks. They take a step back, nodding a bit as they look at the…dog? They’ve never seen a dog like that before. Their jaw sets, blinking at the animal as it blinks back at them. For a moment, their vision flickers, seeing a small child for a moment before their vision returns to normal. A hand lifting, rubbing their eyes a bit. 

                                   They shift uncomfortably for a moment, glancing down at the carrier. ❛❛ Will he be alright in the carrier? I don’t want to accidentally hurt him… ❜❜ They speak, looks like the owner sent someone whose scared of hurting things much smaller than they are. 

                                   Miku can’t help but stare at the dog, brows furrowing as they recall what they saw just moments before, meeting the ‘dog’s’ gaze- the little tail wag seeming to cause them to brighten a bit. Okay, that was cute.

   The count chuckles, scratching at Cerberus’ ears with a smile. “He will be fine in a carrier, and he can handle being on a leash.” He glances back down to the baby cu-sith with a hum. “No special care instructions for now but as he gets older he may be a bit too hard to keep in control. If he ever gets too rowdy you can always call.”

   He moves to set Cerberus on a couch, twirling around to locate a carrier hidden behind the nearby counter. The carrier isn’t too big or bulky, but enough for the beast to sit comfortably inside. He sets the carrier next to Cerberus with the door open for him to walk inside, and he looks back to the poor person sent to pick Cerberus up. 

    “Will you be okay carrying him back? He’s tired for now and might want to sleep some more but he can be a bit much to handle.” He sighs softly, glancing to Cerberus. The count could only will animals to a certain degree, many (especially young ones) would just defy him. Thankfully Cerberus was listening to him and seemed obedient for now.

  -- Augumiron; not his real name but a name he’s stolen for himself. Aug is the semi-leader of a pack of werewolves, and usually elsewhere when he’s needed. He’s useful when he wants to be but is known for leading people astray and attacking those that go against him. He’s smaller than the average werewolf but also much faster. 

 -- Mihai Caine; father to Hye Enna Caine. Constantly looking for his dumbshit daughter and talking to his wife in secret (a fae that had to return to her home). His wife Adwemme knows where Hye is but never snitches since that feels like an intrusion. Instead she talks to her daughter as random people and helps her daughter out. Miahai often talks to his brother Novah in hopes of finding out information but his brother is often too busy.

   -- Mauve; a werewolf that avoids transforming for personal reasons. She was built for my first run of Vampire the Masquerade with the intention of being a guest in the campaign, but I ended up playing her up until she died. She disguised herself as a brujah vampire since her girlfriend before their death was a brujah vampire, so she smelled more like her girlfriend than herself. Mauve’s birth name is unknown and her girlfriend was found alive at the end of the campaign.

  -- Miiva; daughter of Miinjao. She’s their only child that’s survived was gifted to a human family centuries ago. She was adored by the family she was gifted to and was treated better than most of the family. Miiva has a more modern name of Minerva and often hides out among other immortals made to be gifted to human families as pets from a time long past. She dislikes most of humanity but has no interest in causing trouble.

  -- Curra; a blood baron from my second run of VtM with friends, another npc I played. He avoided direct contact with the party but I got to voice the letters he sent to the party. The only time he was actually seen no one knew who he was and never asked his name, and the parties actions lead to his death. He nearly escaped but the sunrise got to him and he died admiring the sun for the last time in centuries of life. He was a good vampire that disliked politics and as such died.

   -- Miinjao; two souls force to be one and then pulled apart again centuries later. Miin is spiteful, with pale hair and pale eyes and Jao has dark hair and black eyes. The duo are opposites in most cases but both act neutral towards conflict and don’t act in any particular direction.

   Whenever one acts the other must so as such they tend to exist in stalemate out of spite for the other. There are brief moments where they exist as one (as seen in the fc) and they tend to agree with each other a lot. These moments are uncommon among public events but when working in peace they return to each other. 

  Jao’s natural aura encourages good favor in his direction and Miin’s aura does the opposite. Jao takes pride in how he can naturally help people without putting in effort and Miin feels similar about his passive spread of mild unfortune (ie dropping change or misplacing something momentarily).
