Lucrezia has officially moved back to my multi @meinliied !
I do intend to continue the threads i have there and if you have a special one that you want to keep, just let me know :) See you over there <33
There’s not really a particular reason but I just wanted to put out here that my portrayal will always be history based before anything else. I do still regard it as Borgia-inspired, but that’s mostly bc Borgia was what originally got me into Renaissance history and Lucrezia and that’s where I started from. (also in general I know this show is a big mess but I have a weak spot for European productions xD)
There are certain parts of the plot however that I won’t acknowledge at all:
Basically a lot (if not most) of Lucrezia’s characterization in s1&s2, especially that she and Pedro murdered Juan.
The whole Alfonso d'Este storyline. Idk why that was a thing??
Anything incestous in her relationship with Cesare, which obviously applies for every other version in media. They have a close bond and were the most important people in each other’s lives, but it was always platonic.
will our actions echo across the centuries? will strangers hear our names long after we are gone, and wonder who we were, how bravely we fought, how fiercely we loved?
SHIPPY STARTER CALL??
A symbol of our passion: unique, beautiful, grotesque. Know this Lucrezia: my death frees you from all bonds to the past. Dearest soul, live; live today, live for the days to come. Forgive your ridiculous Cesare. Forgive us one last time, so that we to, may be free. I kiss your hand, I kiss your lips, wherever forever is, I will love you.
@historianeglecta / Veronica
veronica could not help a chuckle rolling from her lips, quite amused by the reaction to her unexpected reappearance. “ i merely jest. only men would do that. ” petty poets resenting her success and riches, even if she did work for it. men were so simple and dull. “ it is only useless scribbling. chances are it will never be published. i am very selective in what i put in my bundles. ” some called it being too critical, but veronica just liked to think that she was ensuring continuous quality for those enjoying her works.
She laughed too, in silent agreement with Veronica. “From my experience I’d reckon your words to be true. It would often seems that they can feel rather threatened by us.” Men unable to accept a woman in their ranks, as an equal, was something the duchess is all too familiar with. After all she’d endured countless mockeries and insults as regent of the Church and as governor.
Lucezia’s gaze wanders back to the notes on the table for a moment. “Well, I completely understand, if you want to keep these to yourself then. After all it’s the writer’s privilege to decide what they share with the world.”
SHIPPY STARTER CALL??
drklng:
❛❛ i last forever. ❜❜ what would sound like showing off from anyone else was nothing but sincere from the darkling’s lips. he had lasted hundreds of years & would last thousands more
“In my experience circumstances can change like the direction of the wind”, she states calmly, “You truly think that you’re the exception to that?” Nothing but honest curiosity lies in the eyes of the young heartrender, as she observes her commander.
A cautious rehabilitation of her reputation began in the nineteenth century, but the general conclusion was that, if she were not a murderer and a whore, she was no more than an empty-headed blonde, helpless victim of the males in her family. The truth is that in a world where the dice were heavily loaded in favour of men, Lucrezia operated within the circumstances of her time to forge her own destiny. – Sarah Bradford x
requiescatiinpace:
“You are welcome Duchessa , i am glad to be of service.” HE HAD GIVEN HER HIS WORD HE WOULD PROTECT HER & HER FAMILY AND HE INTENDED TO KEEP IT. “I must confess there is one concern i have.” He admits.
Somehow this reply was what she had expected of him. Ezio’s council in those troubled times filled Lucrezia with a deep sense of reassurance and safety., more than she would ever allow herself to admit. Grey eyes were fully fixed on him now, eye brows slightly raised in expectation. “Please. do go on then.”

“Elder brothers can be quite the nuisance, can they not? With three of those I can tell you a thing or two about it.”
Extended scene from Outlander episode 207, ‘Faith’.
smoll starter call !!!
(most likely lyrics/quotes)
Of all the Borgia, sweet Lucrezia, I believe you are the most dangerous.
requiescatiinpace:
“I have taken the initiative to double the guard, is there anything else you require Duchessa?”
“Grazie, Ezio. I think that is all for now. Though if you have any other suggestions that would ensure our own and the city’s safety, i’m more than willing to listen.”
