Genevieve laughed and shook her head, a quick dismissal. She didn’t see being multilingual as much of a talent since she had learned as a child. It was easy for children to pick up languages. She thought there was much more to be said for people picking up languages after childhood. “Je ne rêve pas de lui. J'aime mon travail trop donner pour quoi que ce soit.”

“Je comprends, c'est beaucoup de travail,” Dom nodded in understanding. A Minister’s job was never done. It was easily the most stressful one in the Wizarding World. “Je ne honnêtement sais pas comment il le fait.” Admittedly, Dominique was enjoying their conversation. Not only was it in French, but it was an interesting one. “Où travailles tu?”

“Well I’ve always loved books and helping others -- but I’m currently in the middle of training to become a healer. I hope I can be a healer in charge of a department some day.”

“I never even considered such. But I guess it wouldn’t be the most outrageous thing ever. Companies often have to discontinue a product before selling another, so I guess it could work the same with flavors.”

He crinkled his nose with a grin, leaning forward to nuzzle up against her cheek before resting his head on her shoulder, “You know I don’t speak French.” Latching onto her even harder as she attempted to push him off as he peppers her with loving kisses. “WHAT? No gifts at all? This is officially the worst Christmas ever.”

“Probably for the best,” she replied with a chuckle, which turned into a squeal of surprise as Teddy showered her with soft kisses. She should’ve expected it. It was Teddy after all. “Teddy!” she exclaimed, giggling at the ticklish feeling on her neck. “Who needs a puppy when they’ve got you?” she remarked with a small shake of her head. “Don’t say that yet. Christmas is months away, Ted.”

“If you’re sure it can’t be far, I could help you look around?” Dom offered. The man looked almost as crestfallen as the little girl must’ve, and she only wanted to help.

“Oh Macbeth’s a good choice too!” Dom erupted excitedly. The blonde quite enjoyed Shakespeare’s work. “In the end, go with whichever speaks to you more.”

“I guess a word or two couldn’t hurt,” Dom gave in. She couldn’t deny that a little push wouldn’t be appreciated. “Thank you, Lorc. I owe you a million.”

“Merci. Une vie de pratique.” For all the prim and proper tradition of the Nott family, there were generations of laid back and loving traditions on her mother’s side of the family. She was born in America, but her father was from France, and her mother was from Italy. They did well for themselves and provided the large family home Genevieve grew up in. It was nice having them around, the mix of languages and cultures. “Oui. Ma grand-mère maternelle est italienne, et mon grand-père maternel est français. Nous parlons les trois langues à la maison.”

“Incroyable,” Dom muttered. She wished that she spoke a third language at home. Instead, Dominique had had to go into the world to learn languages. But she loved them either way. What’s not to love about new languages? “Avec tous ces talents, t’as certainement l'intention de postuler pour le poste du Ministre, non?”

“But you’re a Weasley. You’re more than capable of handling yourself.” It was one thing Lorcan had learned about the Weasley family; you don’t mess with them. They could take just about anyone down if they wanted to. “Have they told you when you could start or are they still staying quiet?” He asked curiously as he signaled for two drinks. “I could always put in a word, you know.”

“I guess we are pretty tough shit,” she admitted with a little laugh. At his offer, Dominique couldn’t help but shake her head. “Oh no, I couldn’t possibly ask you to do that Lorc. I’m sure my time will come.”

“I’m sure they can find some room, it’ll be beneficial for them in the long run, more customers and less complains, it seems like it would worth it,” Rose argued, ignoring the fact that there really was no room for any more chairs, to Rose, the inconvience would be worth it. 

“Maybe you should pitch it to them?” Dom suggested with a chuckle. “You never know. Maybe interior design is your calling.”

“Excuse me, pardon me, coming through!” The male said frantically as he pushed through the sea of people, worries hues scanning the floor with a desperation, “Has ANYONE seen a little stuffed pink bowtruckle? My daughter must have dropped it and I can’t seem to find it ANYWHERE.”

“I can’t say I have,” Dominique admitted sadly, feeling bad that the man’s daughter had lost her stuffed bowtruckle. “Have you tried checking with the lost and found? Maybe they can help?”
