      “ Peter!! “ hand reached out, snatching his quickly before pressing it to her swollen stomach, a look of excitement on her face as she peeked up. The baby had kicked just now and... And frankly she was hoping it would happen again. A month into the bunker, and things around them were looking bleak. Whispers of revolution with those of the sky and unrest with those of the ground...  But all that fell away in the moment that--

    “ There? Did you feel that? Boy or girl, our child’s going to be a STRONG one. “ she gasped when the baby kicked once more, a laugh slipping from her lips. Roma by rights, should have been here... But she wasn’t. Only in spirit. And already had she decided that in memory of, their first born child would either carry Roma’s name if a girl, or a name by choice of Peter if a boy.

       “ It’s NOT just a dream, Peter! “ she near sobbed out, giving him a harsh look before finally hiding her face on his chest and biting back the sob that threatened to spill through, knowing Roma was asleep near them and not wanting to wake her... It was EVERYTHING of the bunker. It was breaking her apart to see what was happening around. She wanted to live, of course she did. She had Peter, she had Roma. Their little family. But oh how many times did she have to look away from something that happened? And now with Roma’s fever-- She was SCARED. “ Oh, Peter... What will become of us...? “

        “ Such a gentleman. “ chuckled the blonde with a smile curling around her lips as she wrapped the jacket securely around her form. She was YOUNG and she KNEW it... She knew she was probably too young to already be expecting a child. But she regretted nothing. She regretted nothing... She had Peter with her and she knew Roma would be looking after her from beyond... And they would have this child and she would live and love and... And the bunker would... They would survive that.  This little family of theirs. “ Excited to be papa Peter? “ she questioned, pulling him down and placing a kiss to his lips.

    When she had heard she wasn’t part of this list that had been made, there had been a cold numbness that spread through her. At first she had been... She had been angry. Because how DARE someone else decide that she was not worth saving. And then there was the calm acceptance that MAYBE just MAYBE this was how it was supposed to be. That this was as far as she would go... She wanted to stop fighting. She wanted to give up. But then there was Peter with his soft words and his gentle touches and her heart aflutter and she felt GUILTY for it because Roma was supposed to be here too. Roma who had set her whole heart ablaze. But she wasn’t..

     “ P-Peter, please... “ she finally whispered, her face hiding in the crook of his neck, drinking in his scent, all that he was and oh.. Oh she was grateful to still have him in her life. “ ... Please, it’s... It’s okay. Really, let’s just... Work our hardest to atleast ensure people can live inside Arkadia, okay...? “  she whispered, placing a soft kiss to his neck. “ It’s okay. “

She always had l o v e d art, but even more so when she was the one applying it upon someone. And she knew this? This was a s a c r e d thing with all that Fox had gone through. She made sure not to mess it up, she did her best to make it as beautiful as she could. Because that was what Fox had been. Still was. Beautiful. Scars and all.
