These are some (not all!) of my favorite scenes, but there are definitely others that are oft used to illustrate their relationship.
The thing about these two is how closed off and hardened Orion is, how his own self image drives so much of how he believes others would see him. And then there's Lightray, who sees a true friend. He sees Orion for who he really is, not who fate says he should be. This is so incoherent because I'm a bit distracted, but AAAAH if you aren't picking up what I'm putting down, please just search Lightrion. There are so many wonderful posts people have made. They met on a team called the Global Guardians, back when Bea had just gained her powers and was going by Green Flame and Tora had just left her home for the first time and was going by the hero name Icemaiden.

They became instant friends, with the more worldly Beatriz taking the more naive Tora under her wing. Soon after that, the Global Guardians disbanded, and the two women joined Justice League International, and changed their hero names to Fire and Ice. (While the reasons for the name change were editorial, I like to think they chose their names to match.) This is probably the era most people think of when they think of BeaTora-- lots of 80s/90s fashion and lots of shenanigans.
