Iām slowly starting to make a comeback here. Itās been a horrific few weeks for me in losing someone incredibly close to me, but writing is a good distraction so now that Iāve taken some time away for myself, Iām going to work on a few bits here.

Arms hesitate for several long moments before they return the embrace gifted to him by his daughter. He would be a fool to deny that he had missed her, but he was loathe to say the words aloud.
He recalls the day word had reached him of her birth. The notion had angered him at first, partly prompting his rage that led to his victory in the Stepstones. But swiftly, he had calmed, scarcely even able to define what had angered him in the first place. He supposed it was the way things had ended with Mysaria, her horror at the pregnancy, that had enraged him rather than the babe itself. Would it have been such a terrible occasion for he and Mysaria to bear children? She had seemed to think so.
When he finally meets his daughter, she is little under a year old. The fighting in the Stepstones had abated for now and, though he had little desire to raise his child, he enjoyed being around her nonetheless. She was a fierce little thing, better suited to a life at court where she could flourish.
And now, eighteen years on, his prediction had came to fruition. He sees a lot of himself in her and, silently, it amuses him that Viserys had banished him time and time again only to have a piece of him left lingering in the keep.
